As of writing we own 6 different camping stoves and around 4 different charcoal camping BBQ's We live in the road and we know the good from the bad over many years of camping. The Companion Wok burner ( we have the single ) but double included is the single best gas stove Ive ever used on the market for our use. This is a godsend! Unlike other wok burners, the inner and outer gas rings cause the flames to rotate and create a focussed flame vortex so your wok gets HOT and it gets there FAST. Heat is not lost up the sides but stays concentrated in the centre. Before I had the Companion wok burner I was making (and throwing out) heaps of poorly cooked stir fry dishes that were soggy, mushy, bland, and unpalatable. Two nights with this wok burner and the same recipes are suddenly delicious simply because the wok now gets hot enough.

First trip away burner would not light outer ring. Checked for blockages and gas flow all working fine. Tried again and again and again still not working only had small centre ring lit. Placed in bin at caravan park and walked away.
Wow! Blue flames, cool wooshing sounds, mega heatz. This Companion high output wok cooker really brings the high output to your feeds! Dial turns left - gets cooler for the simmer action. Turns right - fries your face off. Zap zap piezo lights the flame with no matches needed.Gas hose and reg appear to be great quality - I used an adapter from the POL fitting to a 3/8" LH thread for my camping LPG bottle - but beware, only buy the companion brand adapter, cause the POL fitting on the hose has a random spigot that stops the o-ring from seating on other brands - I learnt the hard way, wasted my money on a Gasmate adapter first, that had to be turfed.Go on, just buy one. It will bring all the boys and girls to the yard to see your wok-hey.
It's a great little burner to use around the house. Sometimes I can smell the gas, and sometimes not when I'm cooking. As you adjust the flame, from the little ring to the big ring, it gives a loud thud which is not usually common with normal gas stove. Is this normal? Hopefully snowys will answer the question. Other then that, it's a great burner. Had it for 6 weeks on afterpay.
Awesome cooker for outdoors/4WDing and car camping. Needed to boil water for a 6 person pasta meal using a large pot. I would have waited a week using my regular three burner stove. Perfectly suited to wok cooking also. Just need to make up something so I can sit a small "cafeteira" on it (Italian percolator for you Aussies) as it doesn't cater for smaller vessels. More than happy, and Snowy's, as usual, are perfect to deal with.
It's a wok burner. The provided trivet is poorly designed and slippery for other cooking pans and pots and unfortunately will not even hold my billy. Very sad that they at least don't have the option for a different, more versatile trivet ring. Apart from this I love the design, power, and the versatility of the two burning rings. Unfortunately unless I find a solution I won't have much use for it.
I am not fully happy with the burner. It works with woks but pots and pans just slide around and its pretty dangerous. I had a similar burner from another brand where this did not happen. When used for a wok small expensions were flipped out.Regardshans
I bought this stove for a friend of mine who downgraded from a double burner and she is stoked. According to her it’s scorching hot and very efficient on the gas.She cooked me a pad see ew on it and if the taste of it was indicative of the stoves quality, then it is top notch!
