I purchased this as my laptop does not have USB C and I was looking at extending the screens, however most splitters only take USB C. Doesn't recognise, doesn't even appear on the computer. Can't even use it to charge a device from the laptop

I purchased a second screen and a docking station to link up to my Mac Air.However, realising that the docking station comes iwth USBC Male connector and my Air is old so only has USB connectors.So I purchased this Comsol USB A male to USBC Female adapter to link the mac to the docking station.Nothing happens. The HP screen won't actually recognise it at all.

Can confirm it works fine for syncing files from PC to the iPad Pro. No problems for me so far.
