I ordered this ps vita about 2 weeks ago, and it arrived in my mail box about a week ago. And everything about his ps vita is in perfect shape. No defects in anything. Working perfectly fine. The only thing I found weird about this ps vita is, since it is a Japanese model , the X and O buttons are reversed in the menu selection on the Home Screen. The X is for Canceling an option where the O is for selecting an option, rather than the other way around. It took me a while to get used to the reversed buttons for the Home Screen. But this button reversal thing does not affect the Gameplay whatsoever. I had a PSP before and loved that device so I was always curious about the vita. I'm pretty late to the party now but getting this hand held has been a blast. There are a variety of games to play but unfortunately with little support from Sony themselves. I bought a 32gb memory card with it and I've downloaded 17 games so far with more space to go. It's a console I wish I had picked up earlier when it was still in its younger years. There are some downsides such as the cost of the memory cards, and some of the games themselves on the psn store can be up in price despite being older titles, however there are weekly sales so they can be lowered. It also plays Playstation 1 and PSP games which expands the library of games. Overall, I would recommend this little device. ... MoreI had a PSP before and loved that device so I was always curious about the vita. The Vita is a big step up from the PSP and when custome firm ware is installed (very easy) it can also play PSP and other systems games. This first gen PSV has a better OLED screen than the second model and whilst is thicker and heavier than the PSV2000 in my opinion feels more solid. The touch screen and rear touch panel add a wealth of possibilities - games like Lemmings do not play well on the PSP but are bought to life when touch interactions are possible. Graphics and system speed all stand up to modern standards - at the price this is a retro gaming bargain and a much better choice than the army of cheap Chinese clone retro handhelds

An underrated little handheld system for relatively cheap!
12 September 2023

The Vita system itself was excellently packaged, having been wrapped up in bubble wrap. However, it was shipped with an incompatible cable, with it being USB-C while the Vita had a Micro USB port. I also took a moment to confirm that the 16 GB Vita memory card mentioned on the listing was indeed installed into the system on initial inspection. That mistaken cable wasn't a deal-beaker, as I had a spare micro USB cable sitting around, and I was able to use it in tandem with a Samsung power brick I had handy to recharge the Vita, as the battery had been totally drained on initial unboxing. While the Vita was charging, I decided to do a quick test of the buttons to see how they feel, and they felt good on first impression. The sticks also felt fine as well. While the Vita was charging, I decided to do a quick test of the buttons to see how they feel, and they felt good on first impression. The sticks also felt fine as well. After a bit of charging, I was able to run through initial setup, play the built-in Welcome Park game for a bit, and download a few free games off of PSN. However, the Vita was oddly picky about what cable I used to charge it... Initially, it gave up on charging after a few minutes, but swapping to a different cable and power brick I had sitting around, it charges up just fine. After the Vita charged up to full, I'm happy to report that the battery seems to be fine on first impression. The touch screen, all the buttons and the two sticks, and the back touch pad are all operational, as I had no issues playing the few games I've played on it thus far. Hacking the Vita system to further unlock its potential went smoothly, and I was able to use an SD2Vita adapter I got off of Amazon to expand its storage more easily compared to how I would've needed to pay out the nose for a high-capacity Vita memory card.

Excellent Device
4 June 2024

I knew there were a lot of games released on PSP and PS Vita that I wanted to play. I decided to buy a Vita and I am so glad I did. It was in very good condition, only a few scratches on the back which are going to happen to any 10+ year old device made of plastic. The battery holds a charge surprisingly well. Approx. 4 hours continuous use when playing games (Gravity Rush in particular. Highly recommended). I also received a 1 meter CeX branded micro USB cable and a Samsung adapter.

Great little console

You really cant go wrong with a psvita as far as little handhelds go. Even today I feel it stands up against things like the switch. Its got a big touchscreen with clear and nice colors. Its joysticks feel just like the ones on the switch only smaller and its much more comfortable to hold as opposed to the psp (its a bit bigger too). You can also connect and transfer data from your ps3, ps4 or pc (connecting it to a pc on windows 11 was a bit of a pain compared to the psp which is super easy. However its definitely not impossible and once you get it working its super convenient). Overall if youre looking for a ps handheld I would 100% recommend the vita, its really fun and feels good to play on. Its overall a great experience!

Im happy with the purchase! The price was very good, and the overall condition was actually better than it looked like in the photos. I will say, the PS button on the device is almost totally stuck. It will function, but Im nervous about how long it will last. I would have liked to have known this when purchasing so I could factor in cleaning/repair costs. For the price overall, I am happy with the purchase.

One of the best handhelds ever made
28 March 2024

I've had a lot of handheld console. From the OG Game & Watch, through game gear, game boys, up to Switch and Steam Deck. I can honestly say that the Playstation Vita still stands as one of the best handheld consoles ever made, if not the best. The build quality, the interface, the games. It's a shame Sony put it to waste with the proprietary memory cards and early abandonment of dedicaded AAA games. But still in 2024, it's definitely a must have for any handheld user.PS: buy a custom build grip. It'll 100% enhance the experience.

Well done Rebuy

It was years since my ps vita broke, i always was a big fan of it. however its a real challenge to find one in good state. so i decided to give rebuy a go, since i also bought a phone from them earlier. I was surprised in what good condition the device actually is, the back has some scratches but i recall from my old device that it is a given, since sony decide to make the back of a semi rubber surface. besides this there are no visible scratches on the screen or anywhere else on the device. The only major draw back is that it didn't come with a charger block, charger cable yes but not the dedicated block. This is a let down since the vita requires 5 volt on 3 amp, this is vital since a regular charger will damage the battery easily, fortunately I was able to find ... MoreIt was years since my ps vita broke, i always was a big fan of it. however its a real challenge to find one in good state. so i decided to give rebuy a go, since i also bought a phone from them earlier. Never owned a vita before now, want to start collecting recently, didnt know where to shop. Checked a bunch of sites but I chose CEX. Theres a shop in the town I work in, but I had it delivered since they didn't have one. Some sites offered a memory card but the base console was more expensive, some overcharged the shipping, some i didnt trust, and many didnt have THIS model. I know some think its 'inferior' due to needing a memory card sold seperately, but I do think this one is the nicest feeling, a really nice weight to it (not as light as the revisions, I find those to feel flimsy and much like a toy) while still being quite small. Went through an post which is nice, very big box but very secured packaging, whoever packaged it made sure it could be shot with a cannon and still remain as it was. Im just very happy. Good price too - which is a necessity if youre full time minimum wage like I am. A great console with great games - even if I'll mostly use it to replay Persona 4 Golden on an endless repeat. Its much more quality than quantity
