In order for me to drink I have to push a release button which is comfortably located on the opposite side of the lid which automatically reseals when you release pressure. For added protection from curious groping invaders there is a flip lock on top which absolutely stops access to your drink. This is my second cup and for hot beverages only. Theses units keep my drinks cold for about 10 hours and hot for about 6. I only wish they had an opening on top to dunk. After taking the lid off and finishing my cookies I leaned back with my full belly and feel asleep before I recapped my cup! Buy this. It's ten bucks cheaper than the other store and better than anything you've ever had. Get it you deserve something nice!

Service from Harvey Norman were perfect as were the competitive price. Cup itself... well I'm still learning to drive it perhaps. I'm replacing a coffee cup that were an earlier design, that has been my morning companion for almost four years, so this cup has big shoes to fill. I dribble hot liquids when I try to drink out of it. The opening is a little bit like a little Tommy tippee cup - whilst that part is not my favourite, I'm slowly getting used to my dribble.The upside... there is no way this ever spills, has a lovely ergonomic handful and the colour sizeable, and quality are fantastic. Despite my singular and personal hiccup (dribble) I would highly recommend the cup and buying anything online at Harvey Norman.

I have purchased 3 West Loop Mugs through Amazon, and we love them all. Two of the 16oz and one of the 24oz. Of course all the West Loop lids are the same. The are very innovative, and stand head and shoulders above any other lid technology available. They are all fairly new, but I know that in time, they will fail, as they have gaskets and moving parts. It's inevitable. I wish you would sell the West Loop lids as a separate item. The stainless steel mug portion will last a lifetime (unless it got run over by a car). I will be purchasing several more West Loop's in all three sizes just to have on hand, but I hope you really consider making extra lids available for purchase. Thank you for such a good product!!!!!

Love this mug, I have had this mug almost a decade now. Purchased is on a military base and it has been through a lot, to include a lot of countries. I have used it almost everyday since I purchased it. I has just now showed issues, and it was not even the products fault. My kid wanted to do a "deep" clean on it and threw out the rubber-like stopper in the lid mechanism. If this piece was available for purchase, I definitely would and keep jugging along. Everything about this product has been great. I have never seen anything close to it.
I love these contingo autoseal bottles and travel mugs. But I just wanted to alert you to a problem my father had with a similar contingo autoseal water bottle. He had been continuously filling the bottles and not airing the cap and the cap was full of mould. This is common to all water bottles and is easily solved by taking the lid off and airing it overnight to refill the next morning. Run it through the dishwasher regularly (on the top rack). Fill it with a mixture of vinegar and hot water and leave that overnight on occasion (probably once a week would be ideal). If you have a fully stainless steel one stick it through the dishwasher at the same time as the top, but if yours is coloured, hand wash it in soapy water. I love these coffee flasks and they will keep your coffee warm, but don't expect it to keep your coffee boiling hot. They will gradually lose heat over time and if you start drinking your coffee or tea two or three hours after you feel that you will notice that it's not as warm as you may like. You can extend the time it will stay hot by filling the flask with hot water and pouring it back into your kettle and if you then immediately fill the flask with your coffee, it will stay much hotter for longer. But please note it will never stay hot for as long as a properly insulated thermos, but I properly insulated thermos does not have the benefit of the autoseal cap. It is a trade off and for me the benefit of the autoseal cap, far outways the downside. To be honest, most people will be using this to drink either immediately or in the next half hour on the commute to work and it's really not going to be a problem. When I have wanted to keep my coffee warm for an extended period I store it in my thermos flask and transfer it to this bottle for drinking - easy!

Very sturdy, this coming from someone who drops everything. My only concern with this product is that dispute cleaning it as described the lid retains coffee gooooh. I didn't realize it was coffee residue until I closely inspected the lid. Mind you I would always release the stopper when I would put it in the dishwasher. After taking it apart I found slime and dried up old coffee stuff under and inside the rubber parts and even on the walls where the liquid exits . After that it declines and will stay at least warm for another hour. The lid doesn't pop on, but it screws in which is what keeps it from spilling. It's easy to clean as there's a button that opens the lid so that you can easily rinse it out or wash it. The colors are vibrant.
