A Versatile High-Performance Tire

I've literally mountain bike using these tires over the years all around th world on every type of terrain. I prefer the 2.3s because you can run lower tire pressure (better grip) for bigger volume tires without a rolling resistance penalty. The side knobs are great for bite in the corners as wellPros:- durable- tread pattern is fast rolling, but grippy in most conditions and terrain- competitive weight for racing or if you like a lighter wheel set-up- sidewalls are strong!Cons:- can be hard to install on certain rims

Excellent Tire Great Value!

These are a great upgrade for my Ride1up ebike. Not so much as an upgrade as a tire for a different style of riding. I like to ride my bike mostly on dirt and gravel and the original slick style street tires are not made for those type of conditions. I've been riding off road for a long time so I was able to use the stock tires but these tires have given me way more confidence when stopping, turning and just overall sure-footedness off the pavement.. The handling on the road it's quite different from the original street style tires so use caution in that type of condition.

Love this tire! Stays hooked up in loose gravel, rolling resistance seems pretty good. I'm not sure if it is high in calories, but it is high in flavor, slightly gassy however, most bikers don't mind that.. The turbo boost offers good passing potential. Butt because of the flatulence drafting is not deemed favorable or desirable. Thus pushing the group to the highest pace achievements since nobody wants to be left behind. So get yours today and stay in front of the pack!

Great Grippy XC Tire
26 July 2023

Great price from Jenson USA led me to this tire. I wanted a folding tire for my 27.5" full suspension bike and this tread reminded me of one of my favorites, Panaracer Fire Pro. And sure enough, the tread is a great match. My first ride was in the fabled Rothrock State Forest in PA. Rocks, roots and more rocks. Conditions were very damp from heavy fog and the tire did great, it gripped the rocks quite well. And, well, wet roots are super slippery and the tire did really well. I've spun out way more with other tires. I felt in control in the little loose dirt there was.The tire was odly shaped. It didn't go on and run a perfect circle. Pushed and pulled it a bit, but I'm an XC mountain biker, I don't go that fast to worry about our of round tired. YMMV.Overall a ... MoreGreat price from Jenson USA led me to this tire. My new go-to tire
25 September 2022

Hand down one of the best tires ever. Haven’t washed the front out yet (knock on would) and this compares to the schwalbe tires and vitorias which wore out super fast. I live in California where it’s super loose on hard pack and this tire works very well. The 2.2 still grip plenty and are very light. Tan sidewalls look amazing as well

Pleasantly surprised.
10 July 2021

Continental has vastly improved the quality of tires. The Cross King has great grip and superior quality, perfect for mountain biking, but drags a bit when rolling on tarmac. You also have to be careful with the pressure that Continental recommends, it's an exaggeration and I don't even know how they recommend 44 psi! I use 27 at the back and 25 at the front and it's perfect. Anyway, a good tire I strongly advise. Unbeatable quality price. I will buy again.

Solid mid-level XC tire

The Cross King rolls fast and controlled on gravel and buff singletrack. Despite its shallow tread, it also performs admirably on some loose, rocky, and loamy terrain. Unsurprisingly it’s easily overwhelmed in more intense settings, but if you’re seriously considering this tire you probably already know that. I’ve found that tubeless setup across the Performance models is more difficult than the Protection, possibly due to a slightly looser bead. Still, once mounted they seat securely without weeping, burps, or air loss, and I’ve not experienced a single puncture over hundreds of miles, despite pushing the tire through sketchy terrain I had no business rolling them through. (For reference I ran these on a Crest MK3 rim, 23mm internal.)

USED CAN BE BETTER!
9 December 2022

Bought this tire with 85% of the tread left for less than half the price of a new one. This tire is great in any combination. I'm using it on the rear. I live in Tucson, AZ. Tire rolls fast, climbs great, and breaks loose controllably in corners when the limit is reached.

Very High Quality Product, Price, Shipping, & Service
28 April 2023

So I ordered two of these and isn't had any defects, punctures, or any tire sort of a kind since the day I bought it. Shipping took about two weeks (pretty fast for an overseas order). I ride a Trek Marlin 4 and ride it just about every day for racing tours and bike reviews and that are new to getting in cycling (casual riding or racing doesn't matter). I would very much highly recommend this to anyone looking for anything related to not just tires but even other bike components. The tires are still in very good condition and that's how you know it's the real thing. High-quality everything from ordering.

Wide tires
18 August 2023

Nice tires but too wide for my Bike, an older FELT model. The front derailleur rubs the rear tire when I shift to the smallest chainring in the front. Do you have a similar tire in a 29 x 2.00? I ride rural roads, many of them turn to gravel and occasionally trails in Brown county state park in Nashville IN,
