There is an extra round metal-like protection shield hidden beneath the side walls compared with STR version, definitely strong and easy on long duration!!

I bought these for Idaho’s crappy roads. They are very stout, and setup tubeless extremes easy. They definitely aren’t light, but they road fast. I did an initial 35 mile ride on some horrible early season roads and didn’t have any issues and they gripped extremely well. Excited to see how long they last, but so far I am extremely pleased.

Yet to try this new revised GP5000
Was able to get over 4K miles on previous Continental 5000’s. Dialed in tubeless has less weight and rolling resistance. First 300 miles on this tubeless set has shown a lot of potential.
I Ride on Continental GP 4000 tires on my other bike, so tried these Continental GP 5000 tubeless tires on my new tubeless carbon rims and have not been disappointed. I ride with 85 psi in these tires and They feel grippy and Absorb more road vibration than the non-tubeless tires at higher pressure, I like them a lot!I have not ever used any other brand of tubeless tire so I don’t have anything to compare them to, but they seem like top quality product.I would like to add that mounting and removing tubeless tires are much harder than standard clincher tires, would recommend longer tire levers for more leverage.
tire feels bomb proof. Installing to wheel was smooth, no struggle. Was able to inflate with normal floor pump.
