Rubans are falling way short of my expectations. I have four of them right now, 27.5x2.1. Front and rear my bike and wife's bike. First disappointment is that the casings don't run true. I make the effort to true our rims with dial indicator - more true than naked eye can discern. But these Conti Ruban casings have very noticeable lateral kick in one area. Yes, the concentric rings are even all the way around the rim on both sides.Anyhow, I'm finally motivated to post a review because I'm fed up with how easily these tires permit sand burrs to penetrate. Sand burrs fall off of a weed that is common along trails and in "grassy" areas. These aren't goatheads - they are much smaller and softer. Used this on my mountain bike for commuting 34km 5 days a week for 2months. Not had a puncture. Less effort to ride the bike as the tyre seems to roll quicker on the road. Decent grip on clay mountain bike tracks. The tyre has balanced support for riding on the road and mountain trails

They are one of the few tires I've found that does genuinely good across all surfaces. Pavement, hard pack, loose gravel, dirt, and mud. I can lean into corners while transitioning between surfaces.Rolling resistance is pretty low too.Whoever designed this over at Continental, my hat goes off to you.Already put 100 miles on the things and they seem to be holding up great so far. I am very satified with this product. The central tread on the tyre is good for road and track riding and the outer edges are good for cornering and muddy or rough terrain. Yhe fit to the wheel is very good and the lightness is and extra benefit. rat248
This is my second set of these. I replaced the first pair after one year and over 8,000 miles on them. Works very well tubeless with stans no tubes sealant. no complaints.
I ride mostly paved greenways and gravel trails (roads) with some mud and they work well for me. Many mountain bike tires seem to wear fast on pavement but so far these are holding up well with my 100+ miles on pavement. On gravel the tend to pick up gravel but has not been a problem for my still of riding. My ride is a 29 inch mountain bike with front suspension. I would buy these again for sure.
