I am a fan of the classic Converse Chuck Taylors. I have owned the classic style, as well as some newer styles. However, this was the most fashion forward style that I have tried the so far.The exaggerated sole of the shoe is the first thing I notice and was interested to see if the fit and feel is much different than the classics. I do feel that the larger sole provides a more cushion fit. However, the shoes did feel somewhat clumsy to walk around in. I normally wear a women’s 8, but these run slightly big, so a women’s 7.5 was a perfect fit with a pair of thin socks.These are so comfortable that they can be worn all day, no matter how long you are on your feet.These high tops look great with capris or regular length pants or jeans. The shoe itself is quite comfortable and fits true to size, but unfortunately falls short in looks. Opening the box, the fresh smell of converse is magic as always. At first appearance, I thought the shoes were fitted for clowns. They looked huge! Walking around they make a slight squeaking noise with each step which takes away from the wearing experience. However, they fit perfectly. Exactly to size which does make up for some of the defaults, but for whatever reason look a lot bigger on your feet by the wide and clunkiness of the design (particularly along the sides of the shoe are bulky). I’d recommend these shoes for long periods of standing or sitting because of the comfortability alone, but refrain from using as walking shoes because of the noise.

These converse high tops are stunning. I thought they would be heavy because of the platform but they are surprisingly light weight. They feel like walking on a cloud. The sole is super soft and comfortable and I can wear them all day long at work without foot or back pain. The style is a combination of platform and sneaker which makes the shoe perfect for casual or slightly formal events. I love wearing these with dresses or with jeans. The fit is true to size and my feet feel secure, the rubber toe is perfect to protect my toes. I’ve gotten so many compliments on these shoes, every time I go out I feel like a fashionista!
There's a lot to like about these shoes. I love the color! It reminds me of flat dark earth green. It's quite nice. The tread design is phenomenal. Great grip and it appears that it will last a long time. The shoes feel nice once they're broken in. I could wear them all day.But what the heck happened in the design department? The shoes have this hideously thick sole. Put them on and you're instantly taller. I can deal with that but it's incredibly noticable in the design. It makes the shoe look you got them to correct an orthopedic problem. Absolute deal breaker!
The shoes fit true to size and felt almost identical I am to the typical pair of shoes when you think converse. I know people skate in converses so the day I got them I thought I would test that out. That wasn’t the best idea. The shoes actually have so much grip it made it hard to slide my foot across the board. Besides skating they were comfortable to wear in short periods but they eventually get a little heavy and hot. If you like the design and how they look then you won’t be disappointed if you have work converses before. I did like that the extra bit of the sole did add some cushion to my steps but if it could be lighter that would be amazing. I loved the color I got too but the white rubber does scuff up easily.
Converse slayed it with these! The classic Converse elements are there, so they are instantly recognizable as Chucks, but the 70 AT-CX is elevated and modern with the addition of a thick sole and a ridged toe. There is generous cushion and these shoes were comfortable for me right out of the box with no break in needed. The wider toe box and grippy sole make these wear more like a traditional athletic sneaker but the Converse styling means they are wearable all day and not just at the gym. I found them to be true to size, and if you normally size up in Converse because of the width, you probably won’t need to with these. I got these in the Utility color, but will probably grab a pair of the white and would love to see them come in a black color.
First off, I usually wear a half size or get the larger size, but with these shoes, the half size smaller fit me perfectly. They are SUPER COMFY and fashionable. I stand all day for my job, and these have cushion that reduces tension in the legs and ankles. Love these shoes for the bold and fashion-forward style. The grip and traction of the sole is excellent. The fabric is quality as expected from Converse shoes. White stitching makes it pop. These are a must-have for anyone with a collection of Converse shoes for when you need to make a statement or just don't want sore feet.
This design is very unique and peculiar. It is meant for those who like crafty yet odd designs. I find the uniqueness intriguing but bits and pieces of the design just does not fit the design. The top front of the shoes are rubber for sporty yet casual look but quickly switches to canvas. I know of converse as fully canvas with just the sides being rubber. The shoes actually have so much grip and are super comfortable but after long periods of time they do get hot and heavy inside. Thanks to the extra sole it is more comfortable and soft but if it was lighter that would definitely have checked off all the doubts on the list. I love the color but only the rubber bit can only be cleaned.
