I have owned these black chuck 70 converse for over 4 years and they are still in great conditon. They are easy to clean and if they get dirty, it doesn’t affect the sneaker’s look. I think converse should be a staple in everyone’s closet because they go with any and every outfit. They are comfy, stylish, and inexpensive. Not to mention this brand/company has been around for decades and has a great reputation. I will continue to buy from converse and add to my sneaker collection 😎🖤#conversegirlforever

Classic look, love the fit but the quality has changed

I had a pair of converse about 10-15 years ago and they have definitely changed the quality since then, the laces feel more like a loose knit plastic than cotton as they used to and the white rubbery parts also feel more like softer plastic than my last pair. One thing I like is that the sole feels more cushioned than it used to but they're a tiny bit slippery. I am so grateful that Converse make shoes in half size AND wide fit.

Disappointed

First of all when I opened the box I was surprised as to how different they looked. The toe was a cream patent colour as was the sole trim. I thought it looked regular white. They were very small fitting and narrow. I was looking forward to these arriving as I’ve a few pairs of converse but these were definitely not what I was looking for so I had to return unfortunately.

Fantastic shoe

When Converse came out with the Converse II - it was a nice but failed attempt at updating the standard All star sneaker.The Converse 70 fixed the problems with the Converse II - such as it didn't look like a Converse shoe and wore down with time. This shoe looks a lot like a standard Converse All star shoe. It is incredibly tough. The canvas takes a beating and still maintains it's shape giving you actual ankle support. The insert is fully replaceable and the canvas construction means it doesn't wear out much at all. The soul is touch as nails as well and padded so you get a lot of support.If I had to pick one grievance (minor one) is that the laces are not my favorite. Great Quality!

I bought a similar item in a different store and recived a pair that literally fell apart on the first wear. So i had to return that pair and look for a different store that sells this model. Fortunately I have found this one with a decent price and hoped for the best.I was very happy to recive perfectly good shoes, this time sturdy and comfortable. Been wearing them for quite a while now and so far I'm very satisfied.

Great gift

I bought these shoes as a Christmas gift for my sister. She wanted these shoes for such a long time and since they are fairly inexpensive I decided to purchase them. Shipping was good they came in about 7 business days. However, I’m just happy that she loves the shoes. I have 2 pairs of chuck 70’s and they are probably one of the most comfortable shoes I have! Great shoe and they are great quality. Only suggestion for buyers is to size down. I normally wear a size 8 in women and 6.5y in juniors so when I am purchasing converse or chuck 70’s I would get a size 6 and they are the perfect fit for me. And I did the same for my sisters shoes as well I orders a half size smaller and her shoes fit great.

I have wide feet, these fit great!

I bought my normal size 6.5 and they fit fine, I think I could have got away with a 7 but didn’t want to risk them having too much space in the toe. I would go for your normal size unless you want them more spacious. Width is great, only slight rubbage on the left little toe which is understandable as they taper.I’m not used to have such a flat / thin sole though so it’s taking a little getting used to but these are my first converse for years as they’ve always been too narrow. Result!

The best black converse

I wanted to purchase the regular version of chuck 70 but they were sold out so I ordered these instead. I am extremely happy that the other version was sold out because these are perfect. The platform is not very high (when you look at the shoes you don’t know it has it) but it makes the shoes look a lot better and higher quality. If you’re thinking of buying a pair of black converse, don’t even recognize buying other than these.

Underwhelmed.

I’ve had multiple converse and decided to get these as they are described as having more cushion so are more comfortable. There’s hardly any difference to standard converse but what I will say is the whole rubber isn’t white like the originals, it’s kind of a off white/yellow and is very shiny and rubbery. When I first opened the box I actually questioned wether or not they were fake.They are comfy enough though and I’m happy to wear them but they’re definitely not worth the £80 I paid for them. Stick to the cheaper original version.

Wide fit indeed!

So happy that Converse has made wide-fit models. I've small but wide feet and I always have to size up because of the width of my feet. I've had multiple pairs of Converse but never a wide-fit model. I was doubtful of the pair being actually wide fit, as many shoes, even though advertised wide-fit, really aren't that wide. But these are so roomy and comfy for my wide feet. First pair of wide-fit shoes where I acutally feel that they're wide fit!When I ordered the pair, I sized up (as I usually do because of my wide feet) but I could have stayed true to size and they would have fit perfectly :)
