These are great classic converse. The color and style are perfect for everyday wear. I was surprised that they changed the interior of the shoe. Instead of the classic canvas there is now a spongy waffled material. But everything else is the same. The shoe seems like it would be heavy but they’re not. I love this shoe.

I found these shoes during a search for Women's shoes. I ordered a size 12, assuming it was a women's shoe. Conveniently, I purchased Converse low top sneakers at the same time...also size 12. After unboxing, I just put them in the closet. When I wore this pair for the first time, I noticed they were unusually large. I then compared the 2 pairs and noticed these were larger. I finally inspected the tag inside the shoe and noticed that it was a Women's size 14...Men's size 12. These are obviously going back, but I love the shoe & color so I've purchased another pair, 2 sizes down.

This is my first pair of Chucks since the late 1970s. After a little research, I found that the Chuck 70s were the closest in quality materials and construction to the originals. They did not disappoint: the canvas is heavy and has a silky feel, indicating high quality. The dual layer insole even makes them more comfortable than the originals. The color--sea blue--is great, a far cry from the original white or black available years ago. They do run large, so follow the recommendation of sizing down by 1/2 size. If you're looking for a Chuck Taylor that feels like the pre-Nike originals, that's built to last like the originals, I would highly recommend the Chuck 70s.

I could have gone a half size down from my regular size, I think, but the pair I got fits well enough that I’m not going to bother exchanging. Just something to consider if you’re between sizes. These are comfortable and work with a huge variety of looks. These ones are a little more polished and subtle than typical Chucks so I can even wear them to my office.
I bought these online for my son's birthday. He is only just starting to find his own style and bought his first pair a few months ago. A fabulous yellow pair. Having been a Converse wearer for many years myself I know one pair is never enough! So I decided to add to his collection. The size and fit are perfect for him and the quality is exactly what you would expect from Converse. But let's talk about the colour! It is so much nicer than I had imagined. A lovely vibrant blue and they look amazing with denims. I chose and paid extra for next day delivery and Office did not disappoint as they did indeed arrive the next day with regular updates available from the courier company. 10/10 Office.
I love everything about my Classic Chuck's except the insole, which is why the Ortholite insole cushioning was one feature that made me finally decide to buy the Chuck 70 version of my fave black shoe. Unfortunately, the toe box is too narrow, especially for those of us with wide feet. The Classic Chuck provides a more uniform appearance overall and comfort across the foot. The Chuck 70 does the opposite. I'm a little disappointed and am contemplating returning the shoe. There are other major differences, but I can live with those.
My foot is very narrow. I have a very old pair of All Stars that fit wonderfully. These new ones I just bought are fine, because I can lace them up to be snug in the arch area and the heel...but the toe area is very wide. They don't fit as well as my old navy low-tops...TImes change, but do the width of people's AAA feet? You've let your shoes get wider in width to my relative dissatisfaction...Still pretty comfortable, even though my toes look a bit more like clown shoes.
These are the best Chuck Taylor’s ever, the most comfortable and the most durable. This is my fourth pair of the Chuck Taylor 70 sneaker. What I love about this particular design is the thick soles, to me it makes them more comfortable and lasting. Chuck’s aren’t know to have arch supports in their shoes but they still manage to be very comfortable to me. Since I have “flat feet” these have more support and cushion for me walking or standing in them for a while. I think they’re a great shoe; I never thought I’d be paying $80 for a pair of Chuck’s in my lifetime but they are comfortable and worth it.
The comfiest!!!! Converse really changed it up with the cushioning. I can walk forever in these shoes. I also upgraded to these platforms, and best decision ever. It's not too heavy, which is my issue w platforms sometimes.I also had black high cut Chucks back in high school (15 yrs ago now!) And it makes me smile everytime I wear this now. Happy memories w my Chucks and now Im making new ones!
Usually I never have sizing issues with my Cons. When it says, "runs a little large" that usually just means my wide feet are comfy. These are my first "Vintage Chucks" and hoodaddy, they are NARROW. Length is standard, but you better have very thin feet... The eyelets dig into my toe bend and the side rubber squishes my foot over the sides to look like a muffintop...Unfortunately, my confidence that my Cons always fit means I missed my return window, so I'm stuck trying to figure out how to make them look good and be comfortable enough to wear in hopes the fabric softens up to be wearable.The color is perfect for fall (tawny owl/egret) so I was very excited to start breaking in a new pair-- especially since my last pair bit the dust last weekend...Alas, I ... MoreUsually I never have sizing issues with my Cons.
