I was very excited when my chucks arrived - they had that beautiful classic white look that we have all come to know and recognize. I am so happy that these are coming back into style after wearing them as a teen! I am usually a size 9.5 but sized down to a 9 because I heard that these run big. I probably should have sized down even farther as even a 9 was a bit big! I am going to keep them because I think it will still work as long as I wear thicker socks, but just something to keep in mind. I will probably purchase these in-store next time so that I can ensure I get the proper fit. I opted for the wide shoe because I usually need wides, but with this brand I might be able to get away with a regular since they are so roomy. I have purchased and worn many pairs of Converse. The biggest issue that I've always had with them is that they're tight on my feet. I have wide feet and would often need to keep the laces loose, or do an open lacing on the bottom to keep them comfortable.These pair, however, are wide enough that they didn't need any sort of modification to be comfortable.The design and fabric remain true to the original. The canvas is flexible, comfortable, and doesn't need to be broken in. The insole is a little cushy, but not so much that I can't to squats or deadlifts in them if I needed.The tongue often falls to the side throughout the day and needs to be readjusted. I love the color of the shoe and the shiny toe gives it a nice touch! It is a little too wide for my feet but pulling the laces tighter does help.
