I love the color of the shoe and the shiny toe gives it a nice touch! It is a little too wide for my feet but pulling the laces tighter does help. It is also a little too big so I may benefit from a smaller size but would want to try it on first. This shoe would be great for those who have wider feet and there is more room. The fabric is thick and similar to the fabric of my other Chuck Taylor shoes. The sole is a little thicker but not too thick. This will be a good everyday shoe to style with jeans or short or even a dress for women when going for a casual look. It does look a little long on my foot which I don’t like. The toe and sole is more of an off white color which looks good with the black. As far as converse go, I've had many other pairs before and I know I wear a Women's 8 (I'm usually an 8.5 or 9 in most other shoes), and this shoe fits how I had anticipated. I love the comfy sole of this shoe! One thing about this style is that it doesn't have the loop on the tongue of the shoe to keep the shoelaces in place, but I haven't decided if that's a big deal because the loop isn't always helpful anyways. Love the color I got. It looks different in different lightings, but I think that makes it versatile. I was a bit hesitant about trying the Chuck 70 model, but I would recommend it over the classic Chuck Taylor's if not for the cushioned sole alone.

I love these! I am so happy they finally came out with a wide pair so I can wear them too. I’ve always loved the look of converse. When I was younger I tried jamming my wide feet into the regular ones on multiple occasions but my feet always hurt like crazy afterwards. Not anymore! In my opinion it does run a little bit long, but it is so comfortable. The only thing I would change is the sheen of the rubber. I’m not a huge fan of it being so glossy but that’s just my personal preference. Thank you for selling them in wide now!

I will start by saying I have always been a fan of the timeless Chuck Taylor. However, I never wore a pair because I always equated them with the old school high-top (sweet, timeless shoe, but I never liked the feel on my ankles). The 70's give me everything I like about the look of the timeless shoe AND feel free at the ankle. Win win. I have the white pair with subtle blue and red lines. They have become a go-to shoe for a fresh, clean and casual look. They are super convenient to throw on with shorts or jeans to run out for errands and comfortable enough for a trip to the park or a walk around the neighborhood with the kiddos. The white was a little risky, especially with young kids, but so far the canvas has stayed clean. Also, I think a little wear on the guys will just add to their character.I typically don't wear a wide, which my pair is, but the width in this shoe is perfect. I think had I gone with a regular fit they might be a bit too narrow for my comfort.
These are the most comfortable converse I’ve ever worn!!I’m a converse girl. Since high school, I’ve alternated between the converse all-star high tops and low tops (always white of course!). I know how they fit and feel, and they are comfortable. I was excited to try this new style because it looked just like my favorites that I always buy, but felt like they had a lot better cushion on the inside. This makes a difference when you’re wearing them and are walking all day. They felt super comfortable right when I put them on. The fit was roomy and the width felt great. My feet didn’t hurt at all after the first time I wore them, even though I was on my feet and walking for over 8 hours (and they did not have to be broken in either). These will be my new go-to pair of shoes.
I’ve been wearing Size 7 All Stars for decades and these Chuck 70’s fit me perfectly in a size 7 for anyone wondering if there is a fit difference between them. I have wide feet, double E (EE) in boots and these fit me well like the All stars did, not too narrow. The Chuck 70’s are much better comfort wise than the Allstars in my opinion with the comfort soles (Which Are Replaceable!) and the overall sturdier build of the shoe, you can actually feel the difference in the thicker canvas and the rubber soles. I really like the narrower look that the high sidewall and the set back toe cap outline give the shoe. The rubber has a very glossy finish that’s not as distracting as I thought it might be. I purchased the Universe Teal and Tawny Owl versions and both are nice ... MoreI’ve been wearing Size 7 All Stars for decades and these Chuck 70’s fit me perfectly in a size 7 for anyone wondering if there is a fit difference between them. If these Chuck 70’s hold up at least as well as regular Allstars I’ll probably never buy another pair of regular Allstars again.
These shoes are amazing! I liked the wider fit of these shoes because the outside of the regular ones seem to roll outward as I'm walking and these don't do that. They are very comfortable. The design is aesthetically pleasing to the eye with the black line that goes around the toe cap and the side of the shoe. I also like how shiny the toe cap is. The fabric of the the shoes look good and feel comfortable, and stay true to the classic converse old school style. The thing I liked most about these shoes is the softness in the sole and I just really like the look of a good Chuck Taylor shoe. I don't think there is really anything about this shoe that I would change, they are perfect for me. If anything, I'd get this exact shoe, just in a high top, so I could have both ... MoreThese shoes are amazing! The Chuck 70 wide sneakers are my new favorite sneakers. It’s usually a toss up for me whether I need a wide width shoe or not. I definitely feel the roominess in the shoe and I like it. I find that I have to tie the laces I little tighter to get the shoe to hug my foot so my feet don’t flop up and down inside the shoe. I really like the ruggedness of the sneaker. It’s a bit different from their classics I’m used to. The sole is bulkier and sticks out a little bit from the shoe, not in an exaggerated way but enough to feel that the shoe has a sturdy quality to it. The laces are a lot thicker than the classic sneakers and I love them. They are not flimsy and knot easily. I didn’t even have to double knot the laces since my laces have a tendency to always untie. I did start to feel a little rubbing in the back of my ankle so the only thing I would like to have seen is a thicker padding right at the back of the shoe at the ankle.
Usually I never have sizing issues with my Cons. When it says, "runs a little large" that usually just means my wide feet are comfy. These are my first "Vintage Chucks" and hoodaddy, they are NARROW. Length is standard, but you better have very thin feet... The eyelets dig into my toe bend and the side rubber squishes my foot over the sides to look like a muffintop...Unfortunately, my confidence that my Cons always fit means I missed my return window, so I'm stuck trying to figure out how to make them look good and be comfortable enough to wear in hopes the fabric softens up to be wearable. The color is perfect for fall (tawny owl/egret) so I was very excited to start breaking in a new pair-- especially since my last pair bit the dust last weekend...Alas, I ... MoreUsually I never have sizing issues with my Cons. Overall, great shoes. They look super fly. Classic and modern at the same time. Out of a collection of 3 other pairs of Chucks, these are the most comfortable. The cushion in them is surprisingly nice. They are as advertised: wide. If you have wide feet and the standard narrow shoe doesn't fit, these are for you. The biggest complaint about the shoe is that the tongue slips off to the side. Even when the laces are tightly pulled, the tongue does not stay in place. Even still, happy to wear these often and for long periods.
