I finally got my preteen to understand the amazingness that is Converse All Stars... which basically means his friends told him they were cool even though I have been telling him for years. He loves them! Super comfy, great for flat feet, and now he's cool like the cool kids. Hoping this leads to many more years of awesome Converse footwear. Great shoes! Highly recommend!

I own several pairs of the chuck taylors high tops. All the same size. These purple ones are just cut different. My regular size 7.5 womens is way too small and the 8 womems is too big. I have bought 3 pairs in hopes that maybe one would have the right fit but unfortunately I am returning all three pairs. I really like the color and am very disappointed.

I so badly wanted Chucks that fit ! I ordered in women's size - the toe box was so small it killed my feet. I ordered the wide size, and the toe box was a little better, but the heel end was so big I couldn't keep it on my feet. I even ordered those cute Mary Janes - again with the tiny toe box - I can't win for losing! Thank goodness for the flexible knit All Star shoe, which I wish would come in black as well as white and a couple of pastel colors.
Classic Chucks have a new inner fabric. It's softer, but I question whether it breathes as well as the original canvas. Yes - canvas can get wet easily and that's not good, but I'll wait and see if the new liner material breathes as well in normal use. Also, I continue to buy classic Chucks, but the heels in particular wear out way too fast. Some people might like that very broken in look, but it certainly cuts the useful life of the shoes and any cushioning when walking. The soles should be of a sturdier rubber, but this has always been a shortcoming. The shoes are originally meant for indoor court use (they're original basketball shoes) and they wear so quickly on concrete sidewalks.
Being 77 years young, I remember when Converse All Stars were the shoe of choice. A substantial shoe capable of living up to the demands of an intense high school basketball game.The 2024 version resembles the 1965 version only in looks. There's nothing to this shoe. A thin canvas membrane with no cushioning whatsoever. When they improve this shoe, I'll be the first in line to buy it, but until then, I'm not giving it another thought. I guess I'm looking for the "Restomod" version...
I haven't worn them yet , I'm waiting for my second pair of sa different color to come. I think it's due tomorrow ? I wear a different color on each foot , Seahawk colors !! I kinda sorry now , I didn't order 10 1/2's. I see them for sale used in that size. I wear a plastic brace on both feet/legs and could use a little extra room just to make it easier to pull them on. They're the BEST shoe there is to wear with this kind of brace ! I could be your crippled kid spokesperson ! Seriouis , it's the only shoe I wear , ever ! Last time I was in someones wedding , I just bought a new black pair to look good :)
The first pair of converse i had were a pair of hand me downs from my two older sisters. They were beaten down and ripped, but I still wore them everyday! These are the first pair of new converse I've ever bought, and there is a world of a difference wearing a pair of your own shoes for the first time! I love the green high tops, they're so much fun, and they add a fun pop of color to all my neutral outfits! I can't wait to save up and add more colors to my wardrobe!
I have been buying this shoe for 12 years. This is my ninth pair. I SUPER love that they're now available in wide sizes and my last pair lasted longer than previous pairs because they weren't splitting on either side of the toe box because of the extra space. What I'm not a fan of is the now polyester/blend lining on the inside. They don't breathe quite like the cotton/muslin-lined versions. I wish for a return to cotton lining and for wide sizes to be available in stores instead of just online.
