Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Hi White Monochrome

Converse All Star Hi - White Mono At age 47, Marquis Mills Converse, who was previously a respected manager at a footwear manufacturing firm, opened the Converse Rubber Shoe Company in Malden, Massachusetts in February 1908. The company was a rubber shoe manufacturer, providing winterized rubber soled footwear for men, women, and children. By 1910, Converse was producing shoes daily, but it was not until 1915 that the company began manufacturing athletic shoes for tennis. The company's main turning point came in 1917 when the Converse All-Star basketball shoe was introduced. Then in 1921, a basketball player named Charles H. "Chuck" Taylor walked into Converse complaining of sore feet. Converse gave him a job: he worked as a salesman and ambassador, promoting the shoes around the United States, and in 1932 Taylor’s signature was added to the All Star patch on the classic, high-topped sneakers. The Chuck Taylor All Star high top is the most iconic sneaker in the world, recognized for its unmistakable silhouette, star-centered ankle patch and cultural authenticity. And like the best paradigms, it only gets better with time. For generations, these classic colors and quality vulcanized rubber sole have defined an icon. Born on the court but adopted by rebels, rockers, rappers, artists, dreamers, thinkers and originals, the Chuck Taylor All Star continues to celebrate personal style and individual self-expression.

After looking for my actual foot size I usually have to buy too big in the converse offered at other sites. This site is great. They have the perfect size and wide to boot(sneaker I mean). Anyway this is the place for converse alright. My favorite for 50 years. Thanks for being here.

American sizing confused me a lot prior to purchase. I went to actual store to find my best fit, and ordered online for this specific style and material. European sizing fits me perfectly but not available in the description. High top Chuck Taylor is so classic, the leather black really elevates its class, and very comfy as expected.

I've only worn them a couple of times, but they don't seem to need breaking in, which is a plus. They look great but they could be more comfortable. I've added a memory foam insole, which makes them tighter but I'm confident the leather will stretch. If Converse made these with the Ortho insole for more comfort, they'd be perfect!

More durable than canvas.
13 December 2022

These are excellent. My kid is hard on canvas shoes, and having a leather option is perfect. They're more durable than the canvas shoes and should last her years.. Unless her feet start growing again. They're just like normal Chucks, just made of leather. I sized down as suggested, and the fit is perfect. The only problem is now I need to get her a few more pairs in other colors.

Poor Manufacturing

I don’t usually write reviews on products but for these shoes I feel like I have to as I’m very unhappy with them.I bought these converse shoes only a few days ago and have worn them once for a couple of hours. Within that time the shoes have began to leak some sort of glue residue upon the front section of both shoes. This has unfortunately turned the shoes into a really gross looking beige colour and has ruined the all white look of the shoesā˜¹ļøI wouldn’t recommend buying this particular pair of shoes from converse as you’d expect a little better from them then to be ruined from a manufacturing error after one wear. I’ve had this situation with cheap shoes I’ve had for a very long time so I’m a little disappointed that shoes much cheaper have managed to hold up ...Ā MoreI don’t usually write reviews on products but for these shoes I feel like I have to as I’m very unhappy with them.I bought these converse shoes only a few days ago and have worn them once for a couple of hours. So Fresh, So Clean

This all white, all leather combo is seriously on trend. I wear nothing but Converse when lifting, so I guess I am partial, but I the flat soles are perfect for allowing your body to find its' natural center. I have a collection of Converse sneakers in a growing assortment of colors to match every gym outfit, and this pair is a perfect addition that I am SUPER excited about! I am not super concerned about keeping them clean because the leather does seem like it should be easy to wipe any smudges off of. I saw another review mention the soles coming apart, and I don't know what that is all about, because my pair is super sturdy and well-made. The ankle is flexible enough to allow a wide range of motion (for, say, lunges or bulgarian split squats), which is not the ...Ā MoreThis all white, all leather combo is seriously on trend. The ankle is flexible enough to allow a wide range of motion (for, say, lunges or bulgarian split squats), which is not the case for all of my high-tops. AND, in terms of fashion, I just paired these tonight with a matching loungewear set and leather jacket and wore it to a local theatre show. I *was* gifted this pair of sneakers by Converse in exchange for an honest review, and this is my absolute honest review: I am obsessed with this all white, all leather sneaks, and I don't care who knows it :)

Obsessed! Leather is awesome. Thicker feel and love the elevated vibe. Can wear a weather gets cooler, wipes clean easily! Looks effortlessly great with straight leg cropped jeans. Order a half size down!

The gold standard of the modern sneaker!
9 May 2022

These are the gold standard of the modern sneaker. When I learned they could be made in leather, I purchased these beauties. As a correctional officer working 12-hour shifts and walking an endless maze of concrete and steel grate, these shoes held up to over 200 hours of on-duty wear and abuse plus personal wear. I do not get into many use of force situations, but I would not want to kick someone wearing these shoes. The leather uppers took about 16 hours to break in for my feet and how tight I tie my footwear. The foam and rubber soles did not need any break-in time. I recommend saddle soaping these leather Chuck Taylor's after the breaking time and since my pair are all black I buffed in parade shine black boot polish. one slight flaw

I love how these look and the are surprisingly more comfortable then just the classics because they have a softer and removable insole.BUT, they have a slight flaw, being that they are leather and not canvas the leather will stretch in the direction of the creases in a different way then the canvas ones, and if you have a narrow foot like me there is a chance that the leather at the bottom of the tongue can crease difference from shoe to shoe, and it is very noticeable and annoying on feet--- this is caused by the laces being tightened more at the bottom then the shoe was intended allowing for more creasing which as a result causes the excess stretching.if you have an average to wide foot this will not be a potential issue, but if you do run on the narrow side ...Ā MoreI love how these look and the are surprisingly more comfortable then just the classics because they have a softer and removable insole.BUT, they have a slight flaw, being that they are leather and not canvas the leather will stretch in the direction of the creases in a different way then the canvas ones, and if you have a narrow foot like me there is a chance that the leather at the bottom of the tongue can crease difference from shoe to shoe, and it is very noticeable and annoying on feet--- this is caused by the laces being tightened more at the bottom then the shoe was intended allowing for more creasing which as a result causes the excess stretching.if you have an average to wide foot this will not be a potential issue, but if you do run on the narrow side this could be a potential problem, but it is easily resolved with replacing the insole with a thicker one at the forefoot. (props to the removable insole)
