Converse CT All Star Leather Hi - White Mono The Chuck Taylor All Star high top is the most iconic sneaker in the world, recognized for its unmistakable silhouette, star-centered ankle patch and cultural authenticity. And like the best paradigms, it only gets better with time. For generations, these classic colors and quality vulcanized rubber sole have defined an icon. Born on the court but adopted by rebels, rockers, rappers, artists, dreamers, thinkers and originals, the Chuck Taylor All Star continues to celebrate personal style and individual self-expression. At age 47, Marquis Mills Converse, who was previously a respected manager at a footwear manufacturing firm, opened the Converse Rubber Shoe Company in Malden, Massachusetts in February 1908. The company was a rubber shoe manufacturer, providing winterized rubber soled footwear for men, women, and children. By 1910, Converse was producing shoes daily, but it was not until 1915 that the company began manufacturing athletic shoes for tennis. The company's main turning point came in 1917 when the Converse All-Star basketball shoe was introduced. Then in 1921, a basketball player named Charles H. "Chuck" Taylor walked into Converse complaining of sore feet. Converse gave him a job: he worked as a salesman and ambassador, promoting the shoes around the United States, and in 1932 Taylor’s signature was added to the All Star patch on the classic, high-topped sneakers.

I’ve had these shoes for two years now and I’m impressed with how durable these are! I wear these nearly every day (so easy to dress up or down) and they’ve held up well and only gotten more comfortable with time. I live in Seattle and I can wear these on most rainy days here and my feet are completely dry. These can never be discontinued because I’ve never found a shoe so comfortable that fits my daily aesthetic so well. These are very high quality and so comfy!

At the time I got these, they ran a little small so I sized up. I got the all white ones nearly 7 years ago during my last year of high school so they’ve been through just about everything with me. The leather still looks great and I’d give it the occasional wipe down and it looks just as white as when I got them, can’t say the same for the sole as it finally started to detach and glue no longer held it together… finally onto my next pair!! Totally worth it and excited for my new pair.

Delivery to NZ took a little longer. Also there is a slight difference to the black high cut leather chucks for the better. I have previously purchased these from the converse outlet store and these ones have a shoe pace slit in the tounge which weren't on them before. Because the tounge normally slides to the side I think this is an excellent upgrade to the shoe as I have thought with previous purchases that this feature should have been on here.Shoes took about 3 weeks to arrive but was worth the wait.Super comfy for work and couldn't find them anywhere in NZ online

Requires a good bit of break-in, but the sole is comfortable. The sizing definitely runs large, as I wear a 10.5 in most brands and these 10.5 offer almost an extra inch in the toe (still comfortable though, I didn't feel like I needed to exchange). The soles feels a little clunky and I make more noise than I'd like when I walk. BUT they fulfill stringent inpatient hospital shoe requirements, feel good overall, and look stylish. I'm hoping they last well!
Excellent quality shoe & happy with the discount sale price! The delivery was extremely fast. I had originally ordered a size 6 US which was too small, so returned it with the free return delivery which Insport offers. Then purchased the size 7 which fit well. So happy with the ease of returning & getting a refund. Insport made it an easy & quick online purchase.
The shoes are converse. I can say this. There is a bit of a change in fit since I first bought Converse about 15 years ago. I actually had bought black leather high tops, along with brown back then. The leather was of thicker, higher quality back then. Someone stole my black pair sadly. All in all completely satisfied, although considering the leather is not quite the quality, this pair of black is not likely to last as long as the brown pair I own that have held up exceptionally well.
I used to wear Converse as a teen but stopped wearing them. I remember they used to hurt my feet as I am quite wide-footed.I’d had my eye on a pair of high tops for a while and saw these leather ones on offer. I was so pleasantly surprised at how comfy they were! No pinching and I like that they’re leather so they can be cleaned easily compared to the canvas ones.It also makes them easy to dress up or down! I never want to take them off!
I've been wearing leather converse for over 10 years. I have to say these newer leather converse are the worst in terms of quality of the shoe itself. The shoe looks and feel good, but the quality of the faux leather material they use is not great. On the part of the shoe along the outside of your foot, the leather will start bending and caving into weird shapes, essentially making it look like you have a roll of fat in your foot. In the black leather model it doesn't look so bad. But for the white leather model, it makes the shoe look really cheap and low quality. It was like this for both white and black leather models I bought, but the black color hides the low quality leather the shoe was built with.
My angry old feet like Converse Chuck Taylor shoes because they just let my feel be natural. This is my 15th ish pair in the past 10 years. Converse (Nike owned) now sells a lot of Chucks with a too soft, quick wearing insole so I was glad to find an old stock pair with the standard insole. Converse Chuck Taylor haven't been state of the art for a long time, but since Nike bought them the quality has gone down (too many sewing defects, crooked tongues, bad insoles...), and the price has gone up. Because of the lack of quality and the increasing price, they aren't a good value, but since they work better for my feet than 99% of other shoes I still buy them.
I’m really happy I added the Chuck Taylor All Star Leather Low Tops in white to my collection. They’re a nice change from my usual canvas ones and super easy to keep clean. Just a quick wipe, and they’re back to looking fresh, which is awesome. These shoes are comfy right out of the box—no breaking them in. Plus, they go with pretty much everything in my wardrobe, so I find myself reaching for them all the time.
