I haven’t worn sneakers for years. I’m somewhat ashamed to admit that I’m a slave to fashion; however, I go for the total look when dressing. I work at a elementary school and am on my feet all day. My feet are getting older and are feeling the abuse after 26 years in my profession. Arthritis has become a reality. In the colder months I wear Dr. Marten boots, but with spring and summer here I need something lighter. I saw a few fellow employees wearing these shoes, liked the look, and decided to give them a try. My feet are in heaven!! Others have mentioned that they run big; however, I’m glad I purchased my normal size eight. With an average weight low-cut sock any extra space was minimized for me. I like a little bit of extra space for my toes. I have narrow feet, but as long as I tie them snugly, I don’t experience any slipping in the heel. Bottom line - I highly recommend these. Love the pale yellow color. Also purchased the black, and another style platforms in orange. Sweet!

First, converse has a great return policy and I really do love the shoes. I love the look and style. I love that they make me taller too. BUT I don’t like the fit. I am usually a 6.5-7. I tried the 6.5 and my heel slipped out the back. I downsized to a 6 and my heel still slips out. I can’t go any smaller or the shoe will be tight elsewhere. It’s frustrating. My feet are normal width but these just aren’t tight enough around the heel, even with a heel insert. I’m keeping them, but I know I can’t wear them for long walking adventures.

I usually get regular low tops and have been for over thirty years. I decided to get the platforms for the summer because they are cute and go well with dresses as well as pants. These run a little big so I went went the suggested half size down, a full size down was too small but these were slightly too big. Nothing that would stop me from keeping them. I do however, dislike the laces. They are rather thin and I don't know if they will hold up so I just ordered a pair of standard low top laces to replace them. Overall a great shoe.

I'm glad that I read through the reviews before purchasing. I am a US size 8 in most shoe brands like Ugg, but 8.5 in others, like Tod's, so I was a bit concerned about the sizing. I sized down to a 7.5 and the fit is perfect, even with socks. I wore these to travel in and did a lot of walking, and they are really comfortable. My only reservation is the laces: they are too short and flimsy. No idea why, as my Converse low tops have sturdier longer laces.
They do run large so go a half size down. I accidentally ordered my regular size and it was big. The ease of making a return, printing a return mail label and getting another pair in smaller size was EASY AND FAST! Best customer service I’ve had in a long time! I mailed the unwanted size back and got the replacement shoes a day later. They fit perfectly, look great and are comfortable! I’m a long time Converse wearer and love my chucks! First time pair of platform ones and I love them! Would highly recommend buying directly from Converse for good service, fast shipping, good pricing, and Authentic Chucks.
I have never sized down one full size in any shoe or sneaker. Because of the reviews, I went to the store to try it on. Indeed, reviewers were totally spot-on. My regular size was way too big and heel kept slipping out. Even when I sized down, the shoe fit well, but it needed to be laced up all the way and tied tight to prevent my heel from sliding up and down as I walked. Fairly comfortable, but will only know for certain when I walk a significant distance. Cute white platform trainer; however, Converse needs to tweak this one!!
These are beyond cute BUT sizing is a challenge. I’m usually 6.5-7 so from reading reviews I ordered 6. Here’s where it got interesting. It’s a medium width but the front part is tight (narrower) while the heel part has a bit of slippage. So there is no other size I can get as to go down might fix the heel but the front part is already tight. I got some Dr Scholl’s heel liners that are very thin and am going to experiment with those, plus different thicknesses of socks. I know seems like a lot of trouble for shoes but the cushioning is very comfortable and the black&white is so versatile. Just have to tweak the heel with liners and will tighten or loosen laces as needed. This is a pair of shoes you might want to try on in store rather than mail order. I normally wear an 8 and I usually wear 8.5 in AF1s. I ordered these Chuck Taylor All Star Lift Platform Canvas in 8 knowing that it will be a bit bigger. I like my shoes about 1/2 size larger than my feet and these are perfect. They don't slip when I walk and they don't chafe. I have a painful bunion but I don't feel anything when I wear these all day. I walk everywhere in these and they have the right amount of flex where needed. I will order them in other colors.
After getting 2 different pairs, and returning them. I went into a Converse store and tried on 1/2 a size smaller as well as my regular size but my regular size fit perfect. I was going based off reviews stating they run in mens sizes which was what I originally ordered, then returned and got 1 whole size smaller based off reviews stating they run 1 whole size bigger and that what also too small. I found these to be true to size for me they do not run 1/2 size or a whole size bigger, and they definitely don’t run in mens sizes. These are women’s and true to size. They are very comfortable, they take me back to the 90’s. My regular size is a 6.5. I Ordered a 5 and a 5.5 and returned and in store I tried on a 6 and 6.5. I went with my regular size.
These SHOULD be flagship, “nice to meet you” converse, but they werent. I generally own about 5-6 working pairs at a time, and if these were my first pair id not own a second. The toe caps were differently depths and one more rounded and other more pointed. Laces have become stringy and not original flat woven/wider laces. The lining and footbed of shoe much rougher than in previous years. Im sticking with chuck 70s that have better rubber, stiching, canvas and laces. They also seem tho be sewn with more care and expertise. Fit typical to my other converse: i always order one size down (womens 10) from my usual size. (Womens 11). Returned.
