Converse Chuck Taylor All Star - Optical White

Converse All Star OX - Optical White At age 47, Marquis Mills Converse, who was previously a respected manager at a footwear manufacturing firm, opened the Converse Rubber Shoe Company in Malden, Massachusetts in February 1908. The company was a rubber shoe manufacturer, providing winterized rubber soled footwear for men, women, and children. By 1910, Converse was producing shoes daily, but it was not until 1915 that the company began manufacturing athletic shoes for tennis. The company's main turning point came in 1917 when the Converse All-Star basketball shoe was introduced. Then in 1921, a basketball player named Charles H. "Chuck" Taylor walked into Converse complaining of sore feet. Converse gave him a job: he worked as a salesman and ambassador, promoting the shoes around the United States, and in 1932 Taylor’s signature was added to the All Star patch on the classic, high-topped sneakers. The Chuck Taylor All Star is the most iconic sneaker in the world, recognized for its unmistakable silhouette, star-centered ankle patch and cultural authenticity. And like the best paradigms, it only gets better with time. For generations, these classic colors and quality, vulcanized rubber sole have defined an icon.

I absolutely love these shoes for my toddler. They seem to hold up very well. We have multiple different colors and even matching ones. My daughter is very particular with her shoes and always complaining that certain shoes hurt her. She actually will put these on without me asking a million times. I definitely recommend these shoes!

I've loved the Chuck Taylor All-Star Classic Low-Top for so long. It's such a staple shoe everyone should have in their wardrobe. I like them as Summer sneakers because they are perfect for travel. A lot of walking shoes are too bulky to pack, if you're not hiking and you're just walking around the local area you're staying at, these shoes are lightweight and easy to pack BUT they also look good and go with everything. If you're travelling this Summer, I'd recommend packing these into your overnight bag!

These Chuck Taylor All Star Classics were a birthday gift for our 8 year old granddaughter. She was had requested them and was thrilled to receive a pair. She wears a size 3.5, so we took a chance and ordered down a 1/2 size as recommended. They fit perfectly! She hasn't worn anything else to school yet.

Classic and Comfortable
23 May 2022

I love these. I had a pair of converse for the past 10 years. They finally started to fall apart so I decide to get new ones. After so long I thought I wouldn’t be able to find something like the ones I had but these are great! The shoes are slightly padded for comfort which feels really nice. They fits nicely and I lace them up to be able to slip on and off. They are amazing.

Cute, Classic and Comfortable
7 June 2022

I ordered these for my kids. I love that the shoe runs big because we get an extra bang for our buck. If you normally wear a 9 you can get a away with downsizing half an inch without pinch. They always look so cute on my kiddos feet. The color is the same as the photo. Nice, clean, neat, classic looking shoe.

Good for smaller adults too!
18 September 2022

After seeing in the size chart that the All-stars shoes run big a half size, I took a bit of a gamble and ordered a pair of the kids' shoes in size 3 (the biggest they offer here) for myself. I normally wear women's shoe size 5.5 (22.5 cm in Japan), so that would normally be 3.5 in kids' sizing. I am happy to say they fit wonderfully well and the price really can't be beat! If you have small feet like I do these could work for you too!

Great for All Width Feet; Easy to Clean
7 February 2022

These shoes are so easy to get on my kid's feet. He has chunky baby (wide) feet, and shoes with velcro never fit. Because these lace up from the toes to the ankle, they are very adjustable for all size feet. These were his first pair of shoes, and now I buy them in every size. Started in a size 5; just finished with the 6; now he's in a 7; just bought the 8. Also, they're so easy to clean. The large white trim washes clean with water & a rag. The laces go in the washer. The black rarely shows dirt.

Black shoes I love you also, I love how you don't get very dirty when people step on you but you take ages to tie and but on just so I can enjoy you. Converse though have more than one style. As you know they have the slip-ons, tie-ups, and different colors, but they also have high tops and low tops. The high tops go above your ankles and also come in multiple colors. Once I saw someone's converse had pineapples all over them as a design. You can get different designs other than pineapples though. You can get roses, flowers, a cartoon character, neon colors, and much more. I think I would get the pineapple shoes. I personally think if I didn't chose a crazy design then I would get the black slip-ons because then I don't have to tie them every time I wear them and also because then they won't get dirty as easily. I think I will have to bleach my white ones sometime soon. I would rate my white slip-ons a 3 out of 4 because of the getting dirty and black tie-ups a 4 out of 5 because they don’t get dirty and also they take a long time to time. If you decide to get a pair of converse of your own I hope that you’ll enjoy them because I enjoy them even with their flaws.

Perfect for my son!
12 October 2022

This is my second pair of Classic Chucks for my little boy. I love the way they fit, and look. They're somewhat minimalist, which we love, they're comfy, cute and most surprising- they're very reasonably priced!Buying direct from Converse has been my best experience yet, and I will continue buying Classic Chucks as long as the quality and customer service stays this good. In my opinion, Converse stands out from most other companies I do business with. Other brands could learn a lot from these ladies and gents. Cheers from Memphis!
