Converse All Star OX - Optical White At age 47, Marquis Mills Converse, who was previously a respected manager at a footwear manufacturing firm, opened the Converse Rubber Shoe Company in Malden, Massachusetts in February 1908. The company was a rubber shoe manufacturer, providing winterized rubber soled footwear for men, women, and children. By 1910, Converse was producing shoes daily, but it was not until 1915 that the company began manufacturing athletic shoes for tennis. The company's main turning point came in 1917 when the Converse All-Star basketball shoe was introduced. Then in 1921, a basketball player named Charles H. "Chuck" Taylor walked into Converse complaining of sore feet. Converse gave him a job: he worked as a salesman and ambassador, promoting the shoes around the United States, and in 1932 Taylorâs signature was added to the All Star patch on the classic, high-topped sneakers. The Chuck Taylor All Star is the most iconic sneaker in the world, recognized for its unmistakable silhouette, star-centered ankle patch and cultural authenticity. And like the best paradigms, it only gets better with time. For generations, these classic colors and quality, vulcanized rubber sole have defined an icon.

I've loved the Chuck Taylor All-Star Classic Low-Top for so long. It's such a staple shoe everyone should have in their wardrobe. I like them as Summer sneakers because they are perfect for travel. A lot of walking shoes are too bulky to pack, if you're not hiking and you're just walking around the local area you're staying at, these shoes are lightweight and easy to pack BUT they also look good and go with everything. If you're travelling this Summer, I'd recommend packing these into your overnight bag!

These Chuck Taylor All Star Classics were a birthday gift for our 8 year old granddaughter. She was had requested them and was thrilled to receive a pair. She wears a size 3.5, so we took a chance and ordered down a 1/2 size as recommended. They fit perfectly! She hasn't worn anything else to school yet.

These are cute summer trainers. Iâve wanted for ages but my size is never in stock. I went up half a size as their size 4 is actually a 3.5 when you look at the EU size and measurements of the shoe. It fits much better but as other reviews say they do slip off at the heel! Also the first shoes Iâve gotten ins. While that arenât covered in glue marks or black marks

I have ordered many different sizes based on reading the reviews, saying to size down. I have found this to be incorrect, or perhaps the people who say that do not have that much of a wide foot.My foot is E width. Normal converse size 6 slices off my little toes. The size 5.5 in wide fit , does fit but upon walking I the house you can feel your little toe being knocked and the back of the heel being knocked.I realised this would lead to blisters, so I then ordered the 6 wide fit. I have them in black too. They feel roomy when you first put on and there is a bit of room near the heel, but I believe you need this room to prevent the blisters. I have worn them outside for a few hours successfully without pain. Upon looking at the bottom of the sole it doesnât look any wider , nor when you wear them, but they feel so much wider. Iâm very happy to have finally found the correct size.
After seeing in the size chart that the All-stars shoes run big a half size, I took a bit of a gamble and ordered a pair of the kids' shoes in size 3 (the biggest they offer here) for myself. I normally wear women's shoe size 5.5 (22.5 cm in Japan), so that would normally be 3.5 in kids' sizing. I am happy to say they fit wonderfully well and the price really can't be beat! If you have small feet like I do these could work for you too!
I bought these trainers a month ago for my Danube cruise. I am never without my converse, but have never purchased the converse 'lift' before.. and I have to say they look so fab on...and have been admired by lots of people. I love to wear them with my little summer dresses, shorts, and jeans, and saved me a lot of weight in my suitcase as they really are the one shoe suits all.The only thing I would say is, I always have a size 8, but these fit more like a 8.5. However I have just placed a heel grip at the back of the shoe and that is now perfect for me. Love these beauties.
These are awesome. So so comfortable and look great with so many different outfits. I love the extra lift the platform is just right not too high not too flat. Lots of compliments and easy to keep clean with a damp wet cloth. Never a disappointment from converse and Asos. You wonât regret getting a pair for your wardrobe!
These trainers are so comfortable and go with any outfit. I love them â¤ď¸My only problem was the size I ordered were too big when I tried them on in store after picking up my online delivery. They had a size that fitted in store but would not let me exchange them in store and said I could have a refund and reorder them online but the size I needed were no longer available online. They had the exact trainers in my size in store but said I could not have them! đŠ Unfortunately this resulted in me having to return the item and not being able to order them which means JD sports missed out on a sale as I got the size I needed through another outlet. This makes absolutely no sense! đ¤ˇââď¸
Overall these are great shoes but thereâs a lace hole metal eyelet hidden under the insert. After several wears I couldnât understand why my left foot hurts so much while the right foot was perfectly fine, had to cut the insert open to find the metal eyelet underneath. Itâs past the return period but this is definitely unexpected.Other than this Iâm happy with the sneakers, as usually theyâre half size larger than other brands but super comfortable to wear everyday.
The adorable styling caught my eye, so I decided to treat myself for a comfy, running after the kids, all rounder shoe. Boy I was wrong! First outing, I decided to break them in gently with a 10 minute school run walk. My the time I got to the school gate, I was gritting though clenched teeth waving off my kiddo. Wbeey step walking back was torture and resorted to removing them for the last few hundred yards. Biggest bloody ripped toe and heel blisters ever. They've been in my wardrobe for 3 years now, everytime I try to put them on and walk to my front door, I just know they are going to shred my feet, they rub in ALL the places. Now, I'm not averse to uncomfy shoes, I'll happily dance through the pain in my 10cm Louboutins, the pain from these Converse is like ... MoreThe adorable styling caught my eye, so I decided to treat myself for a comfy, running after the kids, all rounder shoe. They are poorly made and I'll stick to Van's canvas shoes from now on. Waste of money!
