Converse reviewI wasn’t a fan of paying the 60 dollar price tag (I normally buy these for 39.99 on a military base), however I needed a wide. I’ve worn size 10 in chucks for years (I wear an 11.5 in Nike) and they were always making my feet cramp by the end of the day. I went to an outlet to try on 10.5, and those were too long. So I made the decision to purchase at 60. At the outlet I also noticed that all classic All Stars had a new liner on the inside, not just canvas. It seems like a softer cotton was stitched on the inside. It also feels more comfy when slipped on. So I was a fan of my black pair, just not the white pair. I was majorly disappointed when the white all star arrived without a liner. I love all Converse shoes. This color in particular goes with nearly everything I wear. They are comfortable and seem sturdier than I’m used to, although that could be just me since I’m used to a different style. Eventually I’ll have every color:-) and I’m getting close. The color of these shoes is interesting. Not pink, which I was glad when I got them, but a more muted tone, literally quite close to the color of clay. I truly love the color, the fit is as expected and the comfort level. Thank you. On verse, for providing great quality products. I can’t get enough. I still have my first pair and it’s been years and years.

I've been wearing Converse for almost 20 years. I was gifted my first pair in late 2004; they've been my favorite ever since. I love them for their comfort but also the flexibility of their style. My work "uniform" is a nice blouse, black dress pants, and my Converse. If flexibility wasn't enough of a reason, given the financial challenges so many of us are facing these days, My Converse are not only budget-friendly but are super durable. On average, a pair will last me 3 - 3.5 years. Grateful for the 20 years of memories and experiences I've had with my Converse and looking forward to the next 20.

Long time Chuck wearer. I love these shoes and they are perfect for my old lady orthotics and arch supports since they have flat bottoms. Giving four stars because the tongue is too long and it rubs the front of my ankle. I compared with an older pair and the tongues weren’t always this long so I’m not sure when they thought lengthening that was necessary but I wish they’d shorten it again. I work around it by tying the laces BEHIND the tongue to keep it away from the skin but it would be cool to not have to worry about front ankle blisters. Still, I’ve been wearing these for too long to give up on them. Would buy again, I’ll just whine about the tongue when I do.
Classic Chucks have a new inner fabric. It's softer, but I question whether it breathes as well as the original canvas. Yes - canvas can get wet easily and that's not good, but I'll wait and see if the new liner material breathes as well in normal use. Also, I continue to buy classic Chucks, but the heels in particular wear out way too fast. Some people might like that very broken in look, but it certainly cuts the useful life of the shoes and any cushioning when walking. The soles should be of a sturdier rubber, but this has always been a shortcoming. The shoes are originally meant for indoor court use (they're original basketball shoes) and they wear so quickly on concrete sidewalks.
Being 77 years young, I remember when Converse All Stars were the shoe of choice. A substantial shoe capable of living up to the demands of an intense high school basketball game. The 2024 version resembles the 1965 version only in looks. There's nothing to this shoe. A thin canvas membrane with no cushioning whatsoever. When they improve this shoe, I'll be the first in line to buy it, but until then, I'm not giving it another thought. I guess I'm looking for the "Restomod" version...
They are already super comfy and will soften even more with wear & time. Super cute with ruffle socks peeking out and a short dress. I have an 8.5” foot length with slightly wide toe-spread feet, and usually I wear a kids’ 4 or women’s 5. I ordered a kids’ 2 & they fit perfectly! No extra length in the toe area, but no need for my already grown adult foot (I’m 35). If you are buying for a kid I suggest going a half size down so they have *some* room to grow but not a long clown foot. Do not buy regular size. The Converse website states these specific shoes run a whole size larger than your normal street shoe size. SIZE DOWN 1/2 size as to not give your kids an unflattering long shoes. If you’re an adult, get a whole size down because you don’t need growing room.
I marked these true to size since the size chart recommends sizing down. I usually wear a 9.5W shoe and got these in a solid 9W. They are PERFECT in every way: 1. They are the most beautiful shade of a bubblegum/hot pink. 2. They are very comfortable! 3. They have the tab that keeps the tongue of your shoe in place. You know that little piece of fabric under your laces that you weave the laces through? Why do some converse NOT have that anymore? It bothers me so much when the tongue of a high top is all the way to the side. Anyways, get these shoes. Highly recommend đź©·
I always like converse all stars for the warm weather. They are the perfect summer sneakers. The canvas feels very stiff when they are new but my old ones after 4 years the canvas is softer. They feel kinda wonky at first but I think all good sneakers have a break in time. I always go a whole size down in these, and get the wide width which is really like a regular width. I love them cause they are the only sneakers I like to wear when it’s hot out and they go with everything.
