Overall, it is a good fan, easy to use and install, just not enough
I would recommend this cooler if you have a 65 watt cpu and you want pretty. If you're just watching movies and browsing, you're fine with this.
This was a great product and great deal. Fast and on time shipping. would recommend this item to anyone.
I really wanted this to work in my build with a Ryzen 5 3600 because it looks fantastic and the ARGB fan coordinated with the front mounted case fans of the cooler master matx case. It seems to work fine at idle but running a benchmark test or cpu-intenstive gaming, the temps go into the low to mid 70s. On a stress test or cinebench, the temps got into the low to mid 80s. I did try re-installing with Arctic MX-4 thermal paste but the temps improved only slightly. I ended up swapping this for a hyper 212 BE RGB. With the 212, the idle temps are lower and the temp seems to max out at 67 degrees no matter what I throw at it. I wish the 212 came with an ARGB fan but I'll probably replace it at some point. I never tried the stock cooler that came with the 3600 but I'm ... MoreI really wanted this to work in my build with a Ryzen 5 3600 because it looks fantastic and the ARGB fan coordinated with the front mounted case fans of the cooler master matx case. I never tried the stock cooler that came with the 3600 but I'm sure the a71c is an improvement as it's larger with a bigger fan. In summary, it's a decent value, looks great and is likely an improvement over a stock cooler... it just didn't get the temps to where I wanted them.
This made my first build look super awesome. Especially because I am going with the whole blood red look.
Not a good cooler. Maybe ok for a low end Ryzen but nothing above that. Terrible thermals.
Over all as an entry level fan, does exactly what its supposed to. but as i mentioned the lighting controls left a little something more to be desired but really not a deal breaker as at very worse it can simply be turned off so that it doesnt have any color.
