I like this pillow. But, I paid extra to get the cooling properties and have found it to be nonexistent. Best I can say is that it doesn't get as hot as a fully memory foam pillow, but that makes sense just with the construction. Also, the cover it comes with has this extra middle piece that I assumed was mesh, to add breathability. It is not, and its also quite rough and uncomfortable, so I ended up taking the cover off to avoid it.So, for just comfort of the pillow, I give 5 stars. But I took two stars off since the whole point of this pillow over the original is supposed to be for sleeping cool, which I have not found it to help with at all. My wife and I have had our Coop Eden pillows for about a month now. The first couple of days were tough due to the chemical smell from the foam. While not harmful, at least according to Coop website, it definitely made the first few nights difficult to fall asleep. The smell faded after a few days but I felt I wasn’t getting enough support. According to the instructions on the box people who sleep on their backs do not need to add more filling. However, I found this to be untrue, at least in my case.Since then, the pillow has been great. It’s very comfortable and supportive and I definitely feel that it has improved my sleep. But the pillow itself is a magnet for lint and hair. What’s worse is that if you attempt to remove the hair/lint or if you have a bit of a stubble you end up pulling out chunks of gossamer-like fibers from the pillow itself. This has been disappointing given the premium price point of the pillows. At this rate, I don’t feel like these will last in the long run and I will likely look elsewhere when it’s time to replace them.

I wasn't confident about the Eden pillow when it first arrived however, I tried it for a few nights and now I don't think I can live without it! Liked it so much I got another for my hubby for Xmas. While it is not a cooling pillow per say, it somehow does not cause me to overheat when I sleep. Docking 1 star because I did find the outside cover for the pillow is a bit warm for me personally which was disappointing considering the description of the pillow and cover included. I removed it and just use a plain cotton, zippered pillow protector instead followed by a regular pillow case and that did the trick. I almost returned the pillow due to the cover included but I'm so glad I didn't. This pillow is really great and completely adjustable.
