It is everything I wanted. I had been given the 18 piece set years ago and was so sad that they weren't making them anymore (because children-this is why I can't have nice things). They are so pretty and practical, they go with every table setting, it was sad for me to think about replacing them. But lo and behold- they had them again! I ordered two 12 piece sets so hopefully they will last a long time. They seem better quality than the ones I received from so long ago. I hope they stand the test of time (and children!)!

Beautiful pattern, but the mugs are more gray than pure white like the dishes. Very pretty scroll on dishes and bowls. There are a nice vibrant white. But the mugs? Not so much. Grayish. I purchased other cups with saucers in a pure white. I have used corelle for decades and finally replaced it – since 1984! Still have the previous set but… Since they are so… Thought to retire them because of the lead issues. Hoping this pure white color won’t have any lead.

I love these dishes! I got them to replace my terribly chipped, heavy, mammoth porcelain dinnerware from crate&barrel (C&B) . I grew up with corelle and my mother gifted me with my first set when I moved out. Those dishes are still in my cupboard after 20 years of use. I purchased the C&B bc I wanted larger portions for that "bistro" presentation at the table... now I have 2 littles at home and the large portions just don't make any sense, plus, the dishes were so heavy and took up competing space with all the toddler ware. These dishes are lightweight, beautiful & proportions are adequate for adults and toddlers. I'm so confident with the durability - I eliminated all the toddlerware - Now , I have even more cabinet space !! I took off a star only because I REALLY ... MoreI love these dishes! I bought a 4 place setting of the "Bella Fienza" dinnerware about one year ago. The quality is excellent and I have used it daily to replace a set I collected. At the time I was not aware that I could visit the Corelle web site and choose from the white dinnerware sets. Since I have Arthritis, I have found the pieces to be very light to use and store. I bought the "Thankful" platter and matching serving bowl for entertaining guests.
I am pleased with my purchase of Corelle dinnerware. Four stars because the cups are a different color than the dishes; a grayish tone. After washing them in the dishwasher, the cups seem to have lightened up a bit, but still different than dishes. They are thicker than than the dinnerware so maybe that's the reason. Even with that, I am happy with my purchase.
Only complaint is that the mugs were a tad different in color than the rest of the set. I understand this happens sometimes but was hoping it wouldn't be as noticeable as it is. Overall, Corelle has been in my life since I was a child and I love their products! Highly recommend this set for casual use, but the classic design/color certainly works perfectly for elegance special occasions.
My fiancé and I were searching for formal dinnerware for our recently purchased Victorian home. There were so many designs to choose from. But, after searching on eBay, I found this elegant design from Corelle. Since, the prices were outrageous, I decided to order directly from Corelle. I have known about the dependability of Corelle dishes for 40+ years since all of my family(even remote) used them for decades. They were affordable, reliable and compact. They did the job and didn’t take up much space.So, we wanted something very special for our new home. Something elegant like Bella Faenza, yet sturdy and reliable. Corelle dishes are the best.
I am a bachelor, and I eat a lot of frozen prepared foods. Heating frozen foods in the trays they come in will cause bisphenol A to leach into your food, and I decided that I wanted to cut down on that. So I got these plates, which are about the right size to fit one Stouffer's entree. I transfer the food from the plastic bowl to one of these plates and heat the food up in the microwave. So far it is working great. This plate size is good for that, plus good for salads or anything else. If you eat soupy foods, the curved sides will contain all the liquids. I'm very happy.For large TV dinners, I also bought the 12.25" Corelle platters.I gave these plates four stars instead of five because a couple of them are slightly warped, as is true of all Corelle dishes. ... I was looking for a set of durable but beautiful dishes and this is exactly what I wanted. The set is absolutely gorgeous and looks very elegant. I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants classic beauty with longevity. I truly hope that there will be additional pieces to this set in the future -large serving bowls and small dessert bowls would be great!
They are okay. We were using stoneware prior to these plates. We purchased these after researching that white glass bowls and plates are a "safer, healthier" option. I also liked thst they were made in the USA. Here's what weve noticed after using them about a month.The food slips around on the plate more. The plates and bowls slip around more on the table. We have a new dishwasher and cheese seems to really stick to these plates where I have to basically handwash them to get them clean which I never had to do with our stoneware. They also get really hot when hot foods are placed on/in them or they are microwaved. So, eh. I don't think they were worth price but they aren't bad enough to hassle with a return.
