Ordered Corelle 10.5 in dinner plates to match previously purchased set. Square plates appear larger than similar round plates. Really like the square plate appearance, light weight, less cabinet space storage, sturdy, microwave and dishwasher safe. Corelle plates heat well in the warming drawer but cool-off faster than my previous heavy stoneware plates. Also noticed Corelle quality control has slipped over the years. Some of the plate edges aren't straight, more noticeable when stacked.

I have always love Corelle for their durability and light weight . Cherry on top was Walmart is amazing ! They delivered within two days ! I have used Walmart.com before too and it never disappoints me ! Delivery is free and fast and return is also very easy ,you can easily bring it to the nearest Walmart customer service.

I bought a 16-piece (4 place settings) set, including these plates, in a Target store. I love them, but I was surprised at how big the plates are - they seem huge to me. Yes, the dimensions are 10.5" square. But not counting the sloping sides, the round flat area in the center where the food actually is, measures a 7" diameter. It doesn't really matter, it's on the bottom and will never show. BTW, in a stack, the edges are slightly wavy, which I like.

Our decision to switch from heavier dishes to Corelle (which it sounds like many women have decided to do and like me, had used decades ago) is a VERY WELCOME ONE. I replaced a set of dishes that was almost exactly the same size but MUCH lighter in weight. I I am delighted that the plain white "Platinum" series with rounded 'square' dishes is perfect in so many ways in fitting easily into our cupboards, transferring in and out of the dishwasher without the added weight on my wrisst, I can't even tell you what a relief it is to again be a proud owner of Corelle. I already had a couple of these plates (a few years old) and wanted to add to my set. These are the same size as my old ones but the quality is very different. As another reviewer said, these are VERY uneven. The edges of the plates that are supposed to be straight are incredibly curvy and warped looking. All of them are like that. They look very strange stacked on top of each other and do not match my previously plates that were made correctly. I’m not sure why Corelle can’t get their edges to be straight now?? I’m going to keep them because I don’t think another box would be any different but it’s very disappointing. You can see in my photo the top plate is from my original set, very straight, and the other edges go all over the place.
Recently dumped all my stoneware for Corelle, would not have done so but for these more updated/square plates. The 10.5" size is perfect, food looks amazing on them and they are mic/dishwasher AND oven safe. (Which I love, as I like to warm plates before meals or keep plates warming while waiting.) An added bonus is they take up very little room stacking in the cabinet and they are easy to handle/carry, much easier than round. Who knew!? I also purchased several of the round and square bowl both. Table looks amazing!
I searched on multiple online retail sites before making the choice to buy these from Walmart.com. Amazons vendors were up-charging or they were completely unavailable for these same plates. Walmart had the best price, next day shipping and they came superbly packaged. Corelle is the best dinnerware on the market in terms of lasting the longest and taking the most wear and tear. And theyre made in the U.S.A. so you are supporting domestic products! They are versatile and these square plates especially can be dressed up or down depending on the occasion.
Corelle dishes really are the perfect dishes! Aside from being break resistant (not break proof because my 4.5yo dropped her bowl on the concrete when we were eating outside and it broken, but didn’t shatter into small piece so that was good!), these dishes are lightweight which is awesome! They clean off so easily and nothing leaves a mark on them. They really are superior dishes!!! Both my sisters, myself and we recently purchased all new dishes for our parents all use and love these!!
I was excited to get these square plates, but like some other reviewers stated, these have some quality control issues. Three out of the six I ordered were warped. I thought this would only be noticeable when they were stacked, so I didn't think it would bother me...but it does. A couple of them are so bad you can easily notice it even when it is standing alone. I will keep the three good ones and go into the store and try to pick out 3 more good ones to replace the warped ones when I go in to return them. Fingers crossed!
Finally got all my corelle dishes! :) l bought these and the 6 pack luncheon 9" dishes. As well as the 6 pack "simple lines" 22 oz black rimmed square bowls. Almost went completely with the design simple lines but too many reviews on the uneven pattern.So I am glad I chose what I did! Hand washed them not even a water spot when left to dry. Yes they are lighter than stoneware, but I find they still do have some weight to them. Making them not at all seem cheap. I did notice in cabinet there are a few warped ones, but just turned them around. You cannot notice it when they are flat on a counter.Everything arrived safe and sound.My grown daughter was here when they came even she likes them!
