Simple white plate suitable for almost any use. Practically indestructible, microwaveable and so easy to clean. The plate is substantial, but it doesn't feel heavy, especially I happen to be a victim of arthritis on my right hand. Very happy with this purchase and will be purchasing more for my holiday table settings. Highly recommend :-)

These are basic white Corelle dinner plates; nothing fancy, but they still look elegant and blend in with my other white dishes on our open kitchen shelves. I like how lightweight they are as my other dishes are extremely heavy. I was surprised to find that they don't recommend using them in the oven as I like to warm my plates, but they seem to do okay at a very low temp of 120 degrees. They wash up nice and shiny in the dishwasher, too.

We have had Corelle dinnerware for years (maybe 40?). Our last set of dinner plates were wearing with chips on the edges (nothing sharp or dangerous), and the pattern totally faded. This was our second set, not made as well as the original (not a surprise). So we decided to see if someone still sold Corelle, and Macy's had them, and the Black Friday deal was excellent. Plain white was fine, since the remaining faded dishes from the old set are just about white, too. We love the weight (not too heavy), the flexibility (oven and microwave safe), and durability of the glass product. We hope they don't stop making them, because they are so much better than stoneware and not as fragile as china.

I am really disappointed because I purchased a couple of these plate one year ago and loved them! I wanted to purchase more to use as my main dinner plates, but unfortunately the quality went way down. They felt and looked different than the exact same plate I purchased a year ago. Just to make sure it wasn't my imagination, I actually weighed the "old" plate and the new...the old plate is much heavier, feels better and looks better. The new ones feel and look cheap. If Corelle brings back the good quality plates, I will be able to complete my dinner set! If not, I will be looking elsewhere.
I am beyond elated with this purchase. The packaging of these plates was perfection. Each plate was wrapped as if it was fine China. Very impressed. The plates themselves are perfect. They clean nicely in the dishwasher and have a low profile so they don’t take up much space. The six plates that I purchased, when stacked, have the same height as two of my current plates. I’m getting rid of my old plates and getting more of these. Well done, Wal Mart.
I switched to Corelle Winter White almost 3 years ago and I've been super pleased. I love that I can buy replacement pieces so easily. I haven't broken any, but I ended up using some plates under my plants, so I needed to replace those. I'll use these for the rest of my life. I love them.
Our family loves the basic white corelle dishes. With small children and a tile floor, these are the best dishes. Lite enough that the kids can help with washing, drying or loading and unloading. Stack nicely and compact so if space is limited they are great. They aren’t guaranteed not to break if dropped but they stand the best chance at our house. We rarely brake a corelle dish. (Glass and ceramic are done if dropped) We love them, they are always around if you do need to buy more too.
You can actually buy the Corelle plates, bowls individually at Canadian Tire. You have to buy dinnerware sets at other stores. Good price. Love Corelle dishes.
I bought 100 of these plates for my company. We use them everyday for onsite lunches and dinners. After I received these plates, I put them in the dishwasher. When I removed them I found 2 plates that were chipped and one that was completely warped.I called customer service to get some replacement plates because I was told the plates would not chip. That is the ONLY reason I bought them, everyone says they don't chip. I have a busy office environment and other plates could not keep up with us. The customer service agent was rude. She talked down to me and described the difference between chip proof and chip resistance plates as if I was a five year old child. I ordered 6 dinner plates and 6 bowls because my family has several sets of dishes in different patterns, but they aren't as light and practical for all the days we want a sandwich or light meals and a side. No fuss, and no drama, hoping my teenage boys recall which dishes can & cannot go in the microwave. I've used these for a pretty spring breakfast, as well; layered with heavier, more colorful dishes. They were a perfect layer piece.The main drawback is that meals which are weightier or have a lot of liquid, may need to be served in a larger/deeper dinner plate. (Four guys at my house!) Still, these are our go-to dishes, and we'll be ordering another 6 of each, as we soon discovered our regularly-visiting friends reach for these, first, too!
