Switched from Gaming to COROS three years ago. Absolutely love the battery and how COROS focuses on streamlining the app for performance!

Coros makes such an awesome product. A good friend who is an ultra athlete recommended Coros when he found out I was in the market for a watch, and after doing some research I chose the Coros Vertix 2 over the Garmin Fenix for a number of reasons, but particularly for the battery life. Coros watches have unbelievable battery life while providing a nearly identical feature set to Garmin. They also have a really great, intuitive mobile app to customize the watch and review activities, as well as a great desktop experience to review and analyze the details of activities. Overall, Coros makes a fantastic product and experience, and I highly recommend Coros to my friends and family who are considering purchasing a new watch.

I had the Vertix 2 and I liked much of it but a few elements about it bothered me a little. The Dual band GPS wasn’t near as accurate as advertised, the mapping was very underdeveloped and there was a very purply blueish tint to the screen when the backlight was used. So far, have been pleasantly surprised with this update! The new HR sensor is usually within a beat or two of the Polar H10 chest strap which is nice! However It totally dropped off bad one run for a a couple minutes but as a whole it’s still been a lot better than the old sensor. The Dual band has been much better on the 2S accuracy wise, and the battery life is actually doing BETTER than the specs for GPS activity so far. However It totally dropped off bad one run for a a couple minutes but as a whole it’s still been a lot better than the old sensor. The Dual band has been much better on the 2S accuracy wise, and the battery life is actually doing BETTER than the specs for GPS activity so far. I had it in Multiband and had the watch connected to the H10 chest strap, and did an hour run, only burned 1%!! Quite a bit more than the 43 hour estimate! That’s what’s refreshing about Coros battery estimates for GPS activities. They’re actually in line with what they say, if not a little better. Garmin is usually QUITE a bit less than the estimates it spits out before an activity. There are still several areas that need refinement and polishing, wish it had a flashlight feature, or option to make the backlight brighter or more dimmer if you like so you could control the battery burn a little better. The raise to wake isn’t very snappy, and with the latest update, you no longer have the option of switching Satelite modes when you’re at the start screen for your activity, which it was an option before the update, not sure why they took that away. All that being said, the new look, getting away from the “EXPLORE PERFECTION” in BOLD letters on the strap is refreshing, not having COROS in bold WHITE or BLACK around the bezel is also nice to not have there anymore. The watch coming with two straps is nice as well. It’s also nice they reverted to a more practical package for it to come in rather than a bombproof waterproof shell you will NEVER need to use for Any reason!! Getting mine at a small 10% discount made the price I think pretty much right for this watch. If it were $599, I think it would dominate the market! Coros gets a little too ambitious on this front, as they have it priced too high, and yet they have the Pace 3 priced PERFECTLY at $229. Maybe they’ll recognize reality that features and development wise they are a couple years behind Garmin at LEAST but they could at least beat them at a couple things, GPS battery life, overall battery life, possible GPS accuracy, and pricing. They need to work on the pricing. The fact they update their watches so frequently is a plus and their library of training plans you can follow on your watch is FAR more vast and extensive than anything anyone else has. Good update, seems like they’re on the right path, looking forward to putting this watch through its paces in the coming months!
