Ok so this lighting kit is as far as I am concerned brilliant the brightness of it is perfectly fine and the colour range is fantastic ! so if you are reading the reviews that had been previously posted ignore them as those people are WAY to picky and as for being not to sure about the magnet system the strips do not fall off easily its super easy to install and setup and for the price you can not go past these for adding that little bit extra to your pc setup !!

Your monitor needs to be about 3 inches away from the wall to get good light, which means it needs to be on a monitor arm and not a stand. It needs to be on a white wall as there are no gamma or color boost settings in it's video mode.Compared to a hue play, this product is very disappointing.It also in it's current state has freesync issues, where the colors either don't match or the unit flickers or both.Lastly the expansion kit doesn't support a single ultrawide monitorYou can only do 4 strips for 1 montior or 6 strips for 2 monitors, you can't put 6 strips on one monitor

It's a style item designed to complete your RGB look there's no performance to expect here ;)- video visualizer works ok in games or movies but favors too much white light (design choice I think ?)- audio visualizer needs more work, only good if you are a DJ and want a "party light" behind your monitor (quickly annoying if you listen to anything else than techno)- fireplace and borealis effects are weak, I had done better myself- works great for user designed custom effects like Visor,Rain etc...or single color themeRecommended :- buy a separate USB Type A to USB Micro B 2.0 cable 2-3m because the placement of the controller (beginning of the color effect) matters and the system is designed for it to be in the lower left corner of your monitor (away from your glass panel PC case on the right which is really dumb) you can theorically reverse it but it doesn't really work you're going to have conflicting effect directions between your keyboard and monitor when you use directional lighting link effects like Visor- buy strong double-sided tape, if you often change your monitor height, mess around with the cables behind your desk or simply want to clean your desk, everything will fall down, the provided "magnet" system is weak and has trouble holding the heavy rubber strips in place, it "works" I have it on now but it's not very strong- place the controller pod horizontally (not like the manual says!) with the usb and power cables going in the direction of the monitor stand, this will make the original magnet system be way more stable (vertically as in the manual it kept falling and tearing all the led strips down)it also helps to hide the cables like that for a better look win-win :)finding all this took me a few hours of messing around I hope I can spare you the trouble I had :)
To start off I will say the LS100 look gorgeous. Nice vibrant colours that sync nicely with my existence corsair gear. The setup was a breeze and only took about half an hour.The downside is one of my main reasons for buying this was for the ambient video lighting option. Unfortunately it turns out it conflicts with Gsync and that's a big problem for me.Also the ambient lighting seems to use way to much white and is nowhere near as vivid and correct as logitech's screen sampler in ghub which is the same idea.Overall it's a good kit that looks great but is quite pricey. If you already have corsair gear and want some badass lighting for behind the monitor or desk this will do the trick.
I used a set of these for the width of my computer case. It works well in a series of other Corsair fans I have and met all expectations. I found a few points where my strip would only partially light up. This required me to unplug from the controller and plug it back in. With the long units, I haven't had those issues so I hope the issue was an isolated incident.These come with magnets to connect them to the case as well as adhesive magnets. Note that the kit comes with 2 strips.

I disagree, if your monitor is fairly close to the wall these should be plenty bright enough. Also the lighter the color of your wall the more it should reflect. This will however reduce your frame rates a bit in game I find. Maybe 5%ish as the software uses some memory. One thing I do not like is that the light require power from the wall to work instead of just using the usb port. The Icue software isn't the greatest but it works. Overall I think these lights are a bit expensive but cheaper than if you were to get philips light strips. Overall I would recommend these as bias lighting helps a lot with eye strain and can improve perceivable contrast ratios as well.
I purchased this because I was told it could be used with the Commander Node Pro as a standalone without having to install yet another node from corsair. That is not the case, you have to have the node specific for these lights regardless of how many other lighting/fan/commander nodes you have. For the price they ask for these, they are not worth it at all.
