CosMedix Serum 16 Rapid Renewal Complex 30ml

My skin has become combination oily-dry not long ago.Unfortunately, I still battle hormonal acne. I did a lot of research and read bunch of reviews about this product. After using a few weeks following the recommended gradual increase to nightly usage, I notice that fine lines on my forehead are less noticeable. In the next couple of weeks, I experienced "retinol uglies" or purging -- lots of pimples and super dry flaky skin. I cut back on my usage to twice a week and use a good moisturiser. Subseqyently, the pimples visibly calmed down day by day and the dry flaky skin has improved too. Now I see new skin with better texture and smaller pores are slowly surfacing while pimple scars are getting less noticeable. Expensive, but works well

I'm 51, with previously oily skin that's still a little oily, but mostly normal. I get occasional small breakouts. This serum is light yellow, with a light non-greasy texture, and a lavender scent. It absorbs quickly and doesn't make my skin feel oily. I slowly worked my way into nightly use and experienced only slight peeling. I use a konjac sponge every morning which takes care of the flakes. I saw significant results from using this. I noticed that using the konjac sponge at night improved the results, probably because of better absorbtion. My nasolabial folds aren't as noticeable and I have received compliments from two people about how flawless my skin looks. Gentle Retinol

I had been using another retinol product and had not noticed a huge difference over time, so I decided to switch it up and give something else a try. While I have not used this long enough yet to see huge results, it already has given me a positive impression. I have used it at night, and when I wake up in the morning, I do not notice any irritation or dryness (which is a good surprise for a retinol product!). My skin generally looks a bit clearer so far. It goes on nicely and mixes well with other products in my nighttime routine.

Gentle retinol serum

I’m relatively new to using retinol, and after doing my research landed on Cosmedix serum 16. It’s relatively gentle; I’ve transitioned from using it every 3rd night to 2nd without any issues. My skin can be sensitive to stronger products however I’ve not had an issue with this at all. It absorbs nicely and feels a little more hydrating than other retinol products I’ve tried. I can’t say I’m noticing anything visibly obvious with my skin (yet) however it does feel smoother overall.

Love this product. I use this every other day and my skin really seems to like this. I have acne scarring plus hormonal acne every once in a while and this product keeps my skin clear. Exfoliates and leaves skin smooth and plump.

Luxurious and effective!

So happy I tried this brand. I have combination reactive skin with adult acne and the awful texture and tone that goes with it. I started out using this every other day the first week. Tolerated it so well I am using daily. Already seeing results. All of my issues are resolving and looking so much better.

Seriously-good serum

As an newbie to Retinols, the serum 16 has reduced blemishes on my skin, leaving it more even and glowy. The formulation is gentle, that I was able to titrate up to nightly use quickly, without leaving my skin dry or flakey. I even like the botanical smell of the serum + the Harmonise moisturiser! Would highly recommend!

Serum 16

I ran out of Serum 16 for a while, and when I ordered another container, and put it on that first night, I woke up and my skin looked SO much more smooth, and glowed. It is one of my favorites! Absolutely worth the money. It was originally recommended to me through my esthetician.

Slow going, but hopeful!

The serum is creamy, more like a thin lotion. So far, I haven't noticed any obvious signs of irritation other than a little redness, and I haven't even needed to buffer it! I've been incorporating it twice a week for a few weeks, now, and I'm noticing a firming effect on the skin.

Surprisingly gentle for such a robust retinol product

I was recently advised to try a higher dosage retinol treatment. I was initially nervous as my first experience (with a 4% retinol serum) took a bit of getting used to as it caused some minor redness and dryness in the early days. I have been using Serum 16 nightly for over a week and my skin is loving it! It goes on very smoothly, smells subtly delicious and is surprisingly gentle at 16%. Highly recommended.
