I am writing you guys a review of this Centella Aqua Soothing Ampoule from @cosrx, which I was kindly sent by @glamtouchuk to try! . Key ingredients: 🌱 Centella Asiatica Extract (over 40%!) 🌱 Madecassoside 🌱 Allantoin 🌱 Panthenol . Also part of the Hydrium Line, this ampoule is perfect for oily / combination skin types that are looking for lightweight relief. . I have been using this primarily in my morning routine when my skin can’t handle a thicker cica balm. This lightweight ampoule spreads like soothing water across my skin, but yet it still manages to deliver a hydrating punch. . I like to alternate my Vitamin C and exfoliating toners into morning and evening routines. I love that it absorbs so nicely and when I pair this with the Green Tea Soothing Gel Cream, it’s just the right level of hydration that won’t leave me looking like a greasy mess. . So I honestly would recommend both the products in this line. The ampoule and the gel cream are both fantastic products and both well-suited for oily and combination skin types! Thank you, @glamtouchuk for giving me the opportunity of trying both of these products.

First and foremost, let me start with my skin type; I have rosacea and my skin is very sensitive, acne prone, dry and dehydrated. I bought this in hopes that it would soothe my skin (soothing is literally in the name of the product) and calm down the irritation and inflamation; centella asiatica and panthenol (vitamin B5) are both supposed to have anti-inflammatory properties. I've been using this for a couple of weeks now and I really don't see it doing anything for my skin at all. It's not less red, less inflamed, and it hasn't soothed my irritation at all. I'm giving it 2 stars instead of one because I suppose it is SLIGHTLY hydrating-- not by much, however. Also, I don't like that the packaging is opaque. If you end up liking this product and wanting to repurchase, you would have no way of knowing when you're running low on product. If they did this because the product destabilizes or degrades in light, they still could have used an amber packaging like other brands do. For me, I can't justify the $21-24 price tag (depending on where you buy) for a product that does nothing more than slightly hydrate the skin.

I bought this more for the blemishes, wanted something with centrella to help get rid of my post acne hyperpigmentation. Didn’t see much difference in that even though using 2x a day for over 3 weeks. BUT, for my surprise it’s super hydrating in the sense it doesn’t let my skin loose moisture which has been great as I’m new to active ingredients and my skin was suffering with purging etc. This has helped a lot! Now I can use retinol more frequently, and this actually helps with the pigmentation. So win win

The COSRX Hydrium Centella Aqua Soothing Ampoule is a wonderful addition to my routine for soothing irritated skin. The centella asiatica extract calms redness and provides a nice boost of hydration. The ampoule is lightweight and layers well with other products. It’s particularly great for sensitive skin and has helped keep my skin balanced and calm.
Simple, calming, hydrating, and feels nice. This is perfect if you need an extra boost of hydration under your sunscreen. Also great if you feel like sunscreen irritates your skin slightly as this is soothing and protective.Apply to damp skin though! You won’t get the full benefits if applied to dry skin. I also love pairing this with a gel moisturiser on top, the two complement each other perfectly. If you live in a humid climate and have combo, sensitive skin this is perfect for you!
this is great for soothing and hydrating at the same time, but honestly it didn’t blow me away. I think would rather try a more pure centella serum for calming effect, and a more hydrating serum as separate products. But if you’d like an all-in-one this is might be for you! It’s scent free, very watery and absorbs well. Leaves skin supple with sort of a matte finish.
Update: been using it daily for 2 weeks now, I’m pretty sure it’s not doing anything to my redness however I like how it feels on my skin so I still apply it daily in the am after the toner and essence, and before serum. It applies smooth and I feel that it helps other products absorb better, then hope for some placebo effect on the redness lolI use this before I apply vitamin C to prep and calm my skin. It’s lovely and has a slight cooling sensation but I’m not seeing big difference in the redness or calming sensitivity
