Buy this! I bought one for the play room. It’s well worth the money. Even though I bought it on sale I would have paid full price. I liked it so much that I bought another! It was easy to assemble and the directions were clear. The material itself was sturdy and the finish was strong. I was really impressed with the quality and I love how it looks.

Its completely unsafe around children, which is why I originally purchased it. Taking it back for a complete refund because I do not trust it at all. Avoid avoid avoid!!

I was very disappointed in this shelf. I ordered it to use in my classroom. After it arrived and was assembled I found that there were many gaps and the pieces do not align at all. It is very wobbly and seems unsafe to have around students. Now that it is assembled and the packaging was thrown away by the custodian, I don’t really have a way to un-assemble it and return it. So instead I have wasted $$$$ on a shelf that can’t serve its purpose.

Target was selling items like this made of layered wood until very recently. Now they are making it out of composite materials. These materials are less stable and tend to sag and warp over time and do NOT do well if they are exposed to moisture or heat or humidity. They are sort like sponges that are not forgiving and the damage is cumulative. Believe me I know wood and this has all been tried before. They at least have made an effort to assemble them in a way to distribute stress more evenly… which means what they save on materials, YOU will lose in money and time on assembly. At best it’s a crapshoot. But what are you gonna do? You get what you pay for… and you get less for more every day.
This is a very nice, sturdy bookcase. I bought it for the toy room at my house for my grandkids toys. It was inexpensive but good quality. I’m very satisfied !
This is absolutely the hardest bookcase to put together, especially if it’s just one person. I’ve got 4 bookcases that I have put together all by myself and they were a breeze but this one was just awful. Nothing is secure and in place until the final step and bc nothing is secure, you can’t get the final piece in place. I’m at a loss and I’ve been working on this bookcase for 5 hours. If I could, I would give this zero stars. I’ve given up - I have a piece of crap half put together slanted and falling apart bookcase sitting in my living room now that is of no use.
Thoughtful design (cushioned stickers to prevent damage to floors, raised edges at the sides of the bookcase, etc.), extra screws provided, affordable price for what is a sturdy and well thought out bookcase. Instruction manual could have been clearer but the company has videos on their Youtube channel that show a step by step walkthrough of the assembly process. Can be assembled by one person but ideally two people are present throughout the assembly process.
I got this for extra storage place for my living room, it makes my living room looks really good too. it is very sturdy and easy to put together. Good package, all the pieces arrived no damage. Very good add on for my living room!
I got this for my younger daughter’s room to give her more shelving space. I let her do all the organizing and hopefully allow her to learn how to manage the space better. The shelf is great and feels pretty sturdy once assembled. It took me about 30 minutes to put together. I like the wood grain pattern on this. Overall I’m happy with how it turned out. Good value for the price.
Horrible to assembly. This book shelf is wobbly and not appropriate or safe for any room, let alone the playroom it is intended for. I would not recommend this product for anyone.
