I have been waiting a couple of years to get a bench vice for the shed. I viewed a fair few through the webs. While in Bunnings this morning my eye fell upon just the very thing I was after. By crikey, for the price ($119.00) you couldn't go past the value. I installed it in ten minutes and have to admire my workmanship. That is a big, solid vice for the price. I am glad I waited to get the right one. A warning though as this is a fair-dinkum vice and probaly a bit big for the lighter bench. I mounted it on 2x50mm thick boards which form the corner of my bench. And I used 12x150 gal threaded bolts with big washers, just to be sure, to be sure..

Bought one several years ago but had sell it when I moved and just bought another.Being a fabricated vice you can beat on them and not worry about the casting breaking.Jaws open to 7"/175mm, not 6".Opening is fully clear of the edge of the bench which is great for long items.Bolt spacing of the jaws is 4" which should open up some jaw options(ie soft jaws)

I just brought one of these today. Super pleased with it, I'm almost happy my old vice broke. A couple of things of note; it is made of steel plates welded together, so no chance of it breaking like a cheap cast one will. It opens up to a whopping 175mm, way better than anything else I've seen in this size. It's fairly heavy, with a decent sized screw and long handle. It's a lot of vice for your money. Bad things; some of the paint lifted when tightening it down, not really a biggie, and there's a bit of slop where the screw protrudes and the handle fits, though it doesn't effect it's operation. It doesn't have an anvil.
Very clunky and not smooth operating. Not sure if I just got a faulty one or they are all like that. Never had any problems with the craftright stuff in the past and usually like the quality but probably should have just refunded this one.
A good strong vice and the off-set feature comes in really handy when clamping longer lengths of material vertically. A good buy!
Just boart vice and used it clamping and bendin my project with hamer, works how it should im happy with it
I bought one, it never clamped evenly, EVER, so one end of your work was tight, other end loosehowever I will go try another, this time I will take my gauges in and test the clamping both endsit is very strong and I attacted steel with a heavy hammer and I mean a 10lb sledge
