This is a well manufactured vice that has proved invaluable ever since I bought it. It's weight is just right, heavy enough to stay in place but light enough that it is not a problem to move around.

The jaw on the leadscrew side is quite loose and not parallel with the fixed jaw. It relies on the workpiece to bring the jaws into alignment. Tolerances are not good. May be fine for some applications but nowhere near the quality of a proper drill press vise. Heavy and sturdy base.
I'm not an engineer.I have a pedestal drill press that is truly transformed in it's abilities with the simple addition of this bargain basement vice.Cheap, cheerful and works a treat.$25 (very) well spent.
Very useful as a drill vice but do use it for other applications as well.
