Jokes aside, I can’t yet testify to its durability but it did bring quite the upgrade to my Egg Beater 2 pedals which had a bushing instead of the needle bearing supplied with this kit. Overall I saved about 20g per pedal including the added weight of the needle bearings. Not too shabby and it looks amazing. Ordered some generic gold end caps as well and it’s a budget eggbeater 11 kit :)

Easier to change than first expected
Got these for my mallet trail pedals and I basically created the most aggressive, cross-country pedal ever made.Wish the Q factor was a little wider, but with one spacer same with as xtr cross country paddle so all good.
If you are going be rebuilding your pedals anyway, this is a great way to make them better in the process. The only change I would want is for the kit to include fresh springs.
My Eggbeater 3’s were due for maintenance, so why not take advantage of the sale and get the Titanium upgrade. The swap was easy, follow the directions, good to go! I used WD-40 to clean the wings and spring before installing the new parts.
I could not convince myself to buy the 11 series Candy or Eggbeaters. Just too pricey. But having acquired some Candy 7s at no cost and beaten the snot out of them, I was in a position to do some maintenance. I figured, as long as I was doing a rebuild using the refresh kit, I'd treat myself to some bling (and shave 100g from my bike at the same time. I'm all about buying weight savings rather than shedding the extra bike I'm carrying in my trunk.While these spindles didn't make me much faster, they do look great and I am super pleased with the consistent performance of the pedals after the rebuild/upgrade.
I've had several aftermarket ti spindles for Crankbrothers pedals. These OEM upgrade spindles had the best fit and finish and were a cost effective way to lighten up a pair of Eggbeater 3's. Installing these can be done with basic tools and you don't need to have a ton of mechanical prowess. Weight limit may be an issue for some, so that's something you'd want to consider. I'm using these for gravel riding and not on my mountain bike, so I don't have any durability concerns.
Worked great. Lighter and no more play in the spindle. Upgraded to bearings vs a bushing. Smooth as glass on a 6 hour endurance MTB race.
