I keep these in my kids bags and they use them to color and have been practicing for the summer times while they’ve been out of school for summer break. They use them all the time they have such a wide variety of colors. It’s super durable very portable. the packaging is simple, and they each have tops to cover them. It’s no mess. They barely break because you twist them up whenever you need more crown they’re super easy to use and the kids love them. I purchased them from Walmart. You get a great value for your money and they’re a lot better than the regular crown because they have a plastic casing on the outside of it, which makes it really comfortable to use.

While the concept of the twistable crayon is good, the execution falls short on making this a standout product. They call these "mini" twistable crayons, but i don't really see these as mini at all. Thisnis almost the length of a regular pen. The crayon itself is in a plastic housing that you twist at the bottom to raise the crayon. I wish there was a cap to this. It would make this absolutely perfect to throw in the bag for outings with toddlers. And while the box has the list of colors included, the name of the colors are NOT on the crayons! I'm so used to seeing the names on regular crayons and it sucked to not be really sure which exact shade of red I'm actually using.

The Crayola Colored Pencils Set Multi Colors works perfectly. Great quality. Provides great color and with easy application. We didn't realize that there is such a variety of differences between brands. We've bought other brands and no matter how hard you press down they actually do not color anything or the color is so light you can barely tell what color it is. Our daughter is 6 and she couldn't press down hard enough to see the color on regular sketch paper. I am a grown adult male and the same was happening with me. So we're definitely staying with Crayola from this point on.

These have been really nice crayons. They are comfortable to hold and twist easily. The only issue I had was when they got to the end of the crayon, but still had a little left, you couldn’t retract it. Otherwise, the colors are vibrant and can be light or heavy, depending on pressure applied, and kids and adults alike have fun with using these! They come in a nice cardboard box and can be used for all kinds of coloring pages. They blend fairly well if you don’t bear down for heavy coloring. I definitely recommend them and will buy them again!

Some of the colors are great and vibrant while some were quite dull no matter how hard you colored. My next nitpick is I wish the twistables were labeled with the colored names on the tubes vs on the box only. I feel that Crayola has always been great about that but these just had some kind of serial numbers compated to their other coloring art products. Some of them look very similar on the outside until you swatch them. We've used it every week for homework now and they're still in excellent condition. It's also the perfect length and size for my child's hand who is an emerging intermediate writer and artist.

I love to color when flying, in the airport, on the plane, it's just my usual activity. Now, while I love colored pencils, the tip can break and you have to sharpen them. Not exactly TSA friendly. The normal crayons are fine, but they make my hand cramp and occasionally break. Markers go dry. Twist-up Crayons are the perfect solution. Love the large pack and color options. I just pop them into a more travel friendly pouch so the box doesn't get destroyed being shoved into my bag and they are ready to use whenever. Some of the lighter colors

You can also twist the crayon back down when done for mess free storage. You won’t have to worry about crayon marks rubbing on anything when stored away. It also helps keep their hands clean. It is such a smart idea and beautifully executed. The colors and payoff are exactly what you would expect from Crayola crayons - smooth and vibrant. They are very comfortable to use. I highly recommend these to anyone with a small child.

Alternative to crayons

I’ve always loved using these as a kid. Don’t know why the mini ones color in smoother than the regular sized ones. You can still have a good grip on them without them falling out of your hand. They also come in a reusable container so you can close it right up again if you need to put them away. I prefer using these over crayons because you don’t have to worry about peeling off any wrapper to continue using them. Simply twist and turn until you have the length you like! They also blend pretty well if there’s a color you don’t have.

Crayola crayons, they are the best. Very bright, strong colors. worth every penny. Love love love the crayons in the plastic that you twist to use. no sharpening. no breaking in your hands. no peeling paper. just awesome! Also the crayon scent! a world of creativity in each box waiting to be opened up and explored. Anyone remember that feeling when you got a new box of crayons as a little child?
