My friend gave me a sound bar but one of the channels had stopped working so was due for getting replaced. Obviously saw this for twenty and thought I'd take a punt. Don't usually buy refurbished. Was a bit shocked when it turned up. Was literally quarter of the size of my previous sound bar. Thought I'd got ripped off at first with how tiny it was. So a few songs later I decided that it's not bad at all. It's got clarity on the mids and tops, bass is a bit lacking but it can go fairly loud so it's relatively all balanced. Compared to the size of it though it's not a bad contender at all.

I needed a soundbar for my gaming (PC laptop and PS5). Decently slim profile at 16x3x3 inches and sits underneath my monitor connected via AUX cable (not included). Sound quality is surprisingly excellent with pretty good bass. I've been playing God of War Ragnarok and WH 40k Gothic Armada 2 and the sound is great. I haven't tried the Bluetooth connection, but I won't be doing so. There aren't any dials if you want to adjust bass/treble, just Power/Bluetooth/Volume Up & Down. Overall, for a very simple soundbar it provides great quality sound for the price

While advertised by creative as a soundbar designed to sit beneath your monitor you would be justified in thinking it would then be actually designed for use with a computer. Wrong. There is an annoying amount of feedback while not in use, plus you need to turn it on each time to use it, for the same price you can get quality PC speakers with a sub with better sound quality that are really magnetically shielded. If for the feedback when not in use this would be exceptional.

I DO NOT like the recorded voice announcing "pairing mode, waiting for device to connect" every time it's switched to bluetooth mode. The blue/green LED is a sufficient indicator by itself. The voice gets really annoying really fast, and is totally redundant if you're not visually impaired. And don't try falling asleep with this speaker on battery power or you may wake up to that same voice repeating "battery low... battery low..." until you get out of bed to stop it. INCREDIBLY ANNOYING!!! Why make it do this? My phone doesn't do this. Nothing else does this. Why does the voice inside this soundbar think I need to divert my full attention to it as soon as its battery is low??? That being said... the 4 buttons could be easier to use without looking at them. That being said... the 4 buttons could be easier to use without looking at them. They are covered by a single piece of rubber that makes them hard to distinguish by feel. Otherwise, I like the simple appearance of this soundbar and the sound quality is good enough. I've used it inside and outside, with bluetooth and aux and I haven't had any real trouble with it. Creative needs to put out a firmware update that kills the voice. Would be a big improvement. Initially I gave this soundbar 4 stars, but living with the voice inside of it for awhile has changed my opinion.
I purchased Creative Soundbar, as I need a reasonably-priced speaker for my new desktop, and I don't like cheap-looking speakers. This one sits perfectly under my HP LCD monitor (see the picture), and the speaker looks good (I also like the blue/green LED lights). Looks much better than cheap speakers from (probably Chinese) brands that we never heard of. I know Creative, and indeed my MB has a Creative chip to take care of the sound, so I thought I can trust Creative in terms of quality. I think the speaker looks good, especially considering the price. This speaker is advertised as dual purpose of using with a desktop or taking it out as a portable speaker, since it has a battery. You can connect either with Bluetooth or usual Audio connector. You can connect either with Bluetooth or usual Audio connector. I tried Bluetooth with my iPhone and I can play music in my iPhone without any problem. So I could take it out for a picnic, relying on its battery, if I want, although I am not sure if I ever do it. I basically use this as a desktop speaker, always powered, connected to desktop with an audio cable. Because it is also marketed as portable speaker, there is auto power off after 15 min of inactivity. This is inconvenient if you use the speaker with a desktop computer and want to leave the speaker on all the time. Every time you do not touch the computer for more than 15 min, you need to push the power button to turn the speaker on. Otherwise the speaker doesn't work. However, as some reviewer mentioned, I found Creative provides a firmware which disables auto power off. I installed it and now there is no longer auto power off. Well done Creative! Sound-wise, I am by no means an expert, but it sounds much better than your typical two-small speakers. Bass is much stronger, and I enjoy watching movies more with this speaker, than other (cheap) speakers I have. of course there's no comparison with my serious speakers in terms of sound quality, but for a speaker to be used with a desktop PC, with this price point, I am super happy.
Let me preface this review by saying that I purchased this for a friend whose speakers in his laptop died, but I did play with it for a couple of days before he came over to get it. The price was nice considering it was a Creative product and had a good set of features. I thought the audio could be a little brighter, but overall it is a solid product. The Bluetooth connection is sometimes a little janky, but that could be due to the older version being used. I had read a few professional reviews that said it wasn't loud enough, but honestly if you can't hear it, I have to question what kinda of noisy hellscape they tested it in and whether they needed to have their hearing checked. This is not going to be the soundbar you want for pumping music out for a giant ... MoreLet me preface this review by saying that I purchased this for a friend whose speakers in his laptop died, but I did play with it for a couple of days before he came over to get it. I had read a few professional reviews that said it wasn't loud enough, but honestly if you can't hear it, I have to question what kinda of noisy hellscape they tested it in and whether they needed to have their hearing checked. This is not going to be the soundbar you want for pumping music out for a giant party, but it certainly doesn't whisper either. The size could be a bit smaller but it isn't huge, nor is it heavy. All in all it is serving it's purpose, it sounds decent enough for what it is designed and being used for and most importantly, my friend is happy with it!
This soundbar was exactly what I was seeking. It was not more than expected. Nor was it less in any area. I might add a small subwoofer in the future. Then it will far exceed my expectations. The sound is clear, spacious, articulate, crisp and precise. A sub would add more mid-low bass musicality & punch. I mostly use the SB for computing, gaming, zoom meetings and surfing the web. However, I plan to use my extra 27" Acer XF monitor soon in a dual monitor setup with my current MSI 31" for more intense gaming (on PC & console) & streaming. And if I like it, then I'll add the sub. Overall, this soundbar is PERFECT for me!
I was tossing up between this and Logitech. The CREATIVE Soundbar being a single speaker, less clutter and wiring than a dual speaker setup, more power for a similar price...no regrets. A caveat, if like me you want it permanently plugged in, then the 3.5mm stereo Jack connection might give you sound feedback (buzzing sound) through the speakers if plugged into the same source (i.e Laptop) so you can mess about with Ground Loop Isolators or... plug it into a seperate Power Board/Dock, the micro USB lead is about 90cm long (too short for me) so you can get a USB Type A male to Female (extension) lead.
This is a no-brainer quality sounding and looking desktop soundbar for $40. Im now returning the Dell AC511M soundbar which was the same price however output was static ridden and frankly doesnt come anywhere close to this...and comparing apples to apples as I purchased the Creative Air without the subwoofer. Using it in bluetooth mode, sound is crystal clear for both music, video and voice. Im sure the sub woofer would add a nice boost and carry more bass, but theres enough here without the sub for me. Given Im skeptical of most reviews, I preface this by saying I havent received any comp/promos from Creative..just happy to give them a plug for putting out a quality desktop speaker at an amazing price. Just buy it.
This is a very good sound bar for the price point of $40USD at the time of this review. I got it for my tv to play nintendo switch and ps4, etc. At first, I plugged the usb into my tv port and experience the loud cracking, humming, buzzing sounds. I thought it was my aux cable that came with the product so I plug that into my mp3 ipod, no defects. I unplug the usb from tv to my nintendo switch dock, same garbage. I finally plug the usb cable into my iphone adapter and plugged it into my power strip. Perfect! Cranked it all the way up and pause my game, no more distortions. So, it seems the usb need a dedicated power adapter and must be plugged into the wall outlet or power strip. Anyone having the same issue, try this method out.
