When I wear Original Santal I like to spray around 7 times as it doesn't project huge and it is a more intimate scent. I prefer to wear this scent on a night out with the fiancée at a steakhouse but it could be a scent you could wear anytime and anywhere. Very playful and sweet scent that draws attention to those that are close to you. This one I rank right up there with Aventus, GIT, and EROLFA, very intimate and classy sweet scent!

As long as it’s not Florida heat, one smart cologne from the niche house of Creed is Original Santal. Yes it is considered unisex by some, but to me it leans masculine. The juniper berries are playful, but what makes this so elegant is the sandalwood. That combination makes it a wonderful choice for casual or formal occasions. This may not be the so hyped Adventus, but I think this one has much more of an impact. Musk and ginger push this out. While sillage is not mind blowing, it’s strong enough to provide a classy aroma for up to eight hours. There’s also a hint of lavender and vanilla during the dry down. This one is a middle of the road for me…nice spicy warm trait about it but also for me something off putting in it as well. Also like some the creeds I just can’t promote something that costs so much and isn’t loads better than a cheaper fragrance of the same scent profile, and there are many out there. Not a bad scent but nothing that grabs you either…if I were telling another guy what to buy from creed it would be aventus then creed vetiver and then erolfa but they all have performance issues now and that’s just not acceptable for a 3-4 hundred dollar cologne.

It is a beautiful, warm scent. Ideal for spring & autumn. Its noticeable, has mild projection (within arms distance), and lasts about 4 hours strongly, but still noticeable at 6hours, then its a skin scent.
This is a beautiful fragrance! It is regularly mentioned that you can find cheaper brands that smell the same. This is not entirely true, Creed’s masterful perfumer’s have perfectly balanced all the notes to provide a beautiful and noticeable scent while maintaining a gentle and sophisticated sillage. High quality product and possibly the hidden gem among Creed fragrances. Creed Original Santal can easily pass as a unisex fragrance

I thoroughly enjoy the warm, spicy olfactive notes of sandalwood, ginger, and cinnamon, combined with the sweetness of oriental vanilla.The sillage leaves a pleasant and soft trail of woody-aroma of Tonka Bean, musk, and cedar wood, all of which makes for a pleasant all-day fragrance for pretty much any occasion, despite formality.Highly recommended with the after shave and scented oil of the same fragrance to maintain a protracted presence of parfum.
Go to spring fragrance. The scent is not long lasting. But I still love it. My second time purchasing the Santal. 4/30/24 I’d like to add. I use the fragrance coupled with a second fragrance.
I bought this as a treat for my self and was extremely disappointed as I had tried some from a friend years ago and this seems very watered down when compared to that. Once I tried it I had to spray it at least 5 times and I still could not really smell it. As it is supposed to be EDP you should only need 1-3 sprays max and it would last for the day. The quality has definitely changed over the years and not for the better. This is the last time I purchase Original Santal De Pere En Fils Depuis cost I have purchased at over £200 I feel very cheated.
This scent I love. We received it as a sample before purchasing the full size, and after smelling this on my husband I tried it on myself. Love how subtle and non-offense the fragrance is, yet it has a sophisticated and memorable smell. I dislike fragrances that are so strong that all you can smell is the scent, this on the other hand smells like the cologne/perfume is a part of you. I purchased this for my husband but I hope he will share. Splurge!
