I would not believe that the service technicians at LG could be so stupid on two days in a row. The only way I almost got the problem looked took around two hours on two separate days. If you ask for my opinion of the product I would not give it a good recommendation. I guess that your sales people don't realise that the bottom mount freezer does not have a light so we have to use a torch to find what is past the halfway point of the freezer drawers. Classic example of poor design, obviously the design engineers have not used the freezer in a real life situation. I bought one for my new fridge. I plugged it in, the lights came on, I guess it works but how can anyone really know till it is needed. It is expensive compared to a power board, but there is limited options when you need to protect only one device. It is still cheaper than many other brands of single device protectors.
It looks good. It stands out over other power source equipment so you'd easily recognise the electricity outlet that you'd want to plug your valuable equipment into. Everyone should have at least three of these things on the house.
I was very happy to find a single socket surge protector. Getting home, I read the warranty sheet which is sandwiched in between the cardboard sheets. The Warranty states the surge protector isn't to be used with any appliances requiring an aerial. It's only warrantied for White Goods.The Surge Protector was found in the TV section, as well as the white goods section.It was also hard to plug in without using a fair amount of force, as was plugging any appliance into it.However, there are 2 lights on it to show power going to it, and also the Surge indicator.I would only recommend this unit for White Goods.
The salesman said this was what was needed for our new tv. But when I got home and read the package it said Not for tvs. No appropriate product could be found in the store.
Queensland is a tropical area. Storms, electrical surge etc... This is a one piece of equipement we bought... actually 2, just to have a spage one to replace the "burned" one once stroked by lighning. Always remamber the N 1 if you need 2 of something, buy 3 etc...
I like how you can hear it clicking on and off every time the power surges. Its amazing how many surges we have that I never noticed before buying this product.
A neat and fool-proof unit.No power surges so hasnt been tested yet but its reassuring to have the fridge, ie the most expensive appliance I own, protected in this way.
