Great little tool, works best on lightweight fabric (wheel available for thicker fabrics). Good price, especially as on offer

I bought this blade and housing to primarily cut felt and wool for hand embroidery projects and fabric for quilting and applique projects. It works like a charm! Fantastic for my needs!!!

Although the Explore 3 cannot cut fabric like the Maker, this model can cut bonded fabric. This is quite useful for appliqué and bag making. I purchased this bonded fabric blade for that very purpose (though I'll have to see how it compares to the deep cut blade blade). Neverthess , just ad one would not use their fabric scissors for other materials, the dame is true of cricut blades.

I was looking for this blade for such a long time since it was out at my local store. I finally found the product, super easy to instal and cuts amazing! Very impressed with the price and quality of the material.

Not sharp or long enough to cut through bonded at
14 October 2019

I bought it to cut through heat bonded felt. Made sure it was the correct fabric setting on my Maker, and it doesn't cut through at all. Even if you lie to the Cricut and set it to bonded denim it won't cut through with this blade. You're better off using the rotary knife and lying to the machine that it's denim. Promptly returned this knife.

Open package on arrival
13 January 2023

I ordered a lot of materials in anticipation for my new Cricut Maker 3 machine that is coming soon. Was so disappointed that this item was the first to arrive and it looks like a returned item. It was ripped open and scotched taped in the back.

I love how companies ask for a review as soon as you purchase a product. Sure, when its new, pf course its going to be great! Lets wait a few months and let it stand the test of time to see how it holds up. BrB in some months. :)

Slightly Disappointed
28 December 2020

I guess it's my own fault for not doing more research on this instead of just \"assuming\" things. I thought if I bought the blade, housing and fabric mat, I could cut quilting fabric out using my machine. I was wrong. I didn't realize it HAD to be \"bonded\" fabric which sort of defeats my purpose. Yes, bonded is in the title but I didn't know that's what it meant. I wanted to be able to cut out hexagon shapes for making English Paper Piecing quilts and other shapes. Oh well. Guess I'll toss it and the mat aside until I have a project that uses bonded fabric. At least I can still cut out the paper templates.

This blade saved the day!
21 October 2023

After many trial and error attempts with my basic blade, this one finally did the trick cutting through bonded flannel material! I was amazed at the precise, clean cuts. I had many 3 inch patterns to cut out on a short amount of time and investing in the blade saved me tons of time and headaches. I highly recommend and cant wait to use it for other materials, it definitely opens up my crafting options.

I'm sure it's good. I only got 3 cuttings before it started to tear my fabric. Maybe this is common and you need to adjust the blade pressure. Work in progress
