My cricut arrived yesterday, used it right away. Easy to set up,as had older one. All I can say is, my oh my this is absolutely brilliant !! As old one needed fixing, decided on this upgrade. So glad I did ! Was able to finish a project that had start which was for Christmas, gift boxes for families presents. One word of advice, it's alot faster, don't be suprised if it makes you jump when it starts to cut/draw,as it did me , also if you do use a mat,a long mat, make sure you have the room,as it goes all the way back, then forth,as I found out,as it's measuring the size of mat. Also it saves your settings for projects, 1 click and go. My project was done in a couple of hours. All in all amazing and so very happy indeed ! This product is exceptional and I will be back to buy the Maker3. The staff at Gympie where phenomenal and very helpful. I did click and collect order and they had it ready to pick up within 20 mins. It has been exactly what I needed to get my home business up and running. Between the staff and the product I give it a total rating of 5stars 100%. I can't wait to come back. Please tho widen your range of cricut material or order more stock more often. Youre the only place in gympie that sells it.

Pros: Sleek design and not too loud.Cons: Sent machine back as would not cut a precise line on print and cut option after several callibarations. It is not just one machine I have had 3 circuits one after the other. First two were explore 2 and then the explore 3 and every one of them did the same thing. Scissors would a better job. Never getting cricut again.

Ive owned and used the Air 2 daily for years without any problems. I actually really loved that machine, but the rollers were getting worn and I figured it was time for an upgrade. This machine has been nothing but a headache since I opened it. I figured there would be a little bit of a learning curve, as there is with anything, but its awful. Im constantly getting a flashing red light. I can no long cut my mats in half, which I prefer because of the small intricate cuts I usually make. It supposedly faster, but measures the mat each and every time, says its 100% done, long before the cutting actually finishes. This machine seems to have been made for the use of Cricut vinyl only, which I don't generally use, its torn up countless feet of vinyl at this point and has ... MoreIve owned and used the Air 2 daily for years without any problems. Unfortunately the return policy does not allow you to use the product first. Ive already reordered an Air 2 and will be getting rid of this one ASAP.
I bought this machine for my daughter 's birthday and she just loves it.As a teacher she has been able to use it for many lovely projects with the children including cards, labels and headings on display boards.I ordered it on line from John Lewis who delivered it promptly. It was well packed.and was easily linked to her computer. She has been amazed how versatile it is and is looking forward to experimenting and exploring its many possibilities.
The Cricut Explore 3 is really impressive to watch in action. It's on of those things that is just amazing to see do its thing at such a speed.Design Space seems to work well with most designs I throw at it, but the one thing it had trouble with was when I wanted it to draw (with pen) a lot of simple lines (from text made into lines). Instead of having the whole shape of the text outlined, I wanted it to draw as though a person were writing it by hand (single line for each character). Design Space could make it if the shapes were not 'attached' or 'flattened' but would not work otherwise. I assume this is because of how it would need to arrange its programming to efficiently draw everything in order/placement as designed. My only solution is to make fewer lines by ... MoreThe Cricut Explore 3 is really impressive to watch in action. I assume this is because of how it would need to arrange its programming to efficiently draw everything in order/placement as designed. My only solution is to make fewer lines by connecting the letter characters similar to hand-writing. Only then will Design Space let me move to the next step of prepping the Cricut for drawing. A bit of a hassle, but at least there is a workaround.
Returned after 1 day of using (trying to use). Not one single video mentioned the machine having to scan the mat and the slow loading process, design space jamming and crashing several times when unloading after the cut, the fact the only time the machine cuts faster than the old machines is 1.) Using smart material or 2.) Turn of fast mode on the Air 2. The only thing going for this machine was how amazingly quiet it was. This may be a great machine for a first time cricut owner or a hobby crafter. But Definitely not for a veteran crafter with a fast paced business. Please have real people test these out. This needed more time and tweaking before being released.
Very stylish, sleek and modern looking machine. Love the colour. I have only used it a couple times so far but I have seen amazing creations from it. Only thing I can say is that on description when looking to buy products online if they went into more detail as to what goes with what machine { such as this cardstock or vinyl / pens) goes with this machine {same model|}, just to make it easy for beginners. Other than that I am happy. And cannot wait to see where my Cricut journey takes me. thank you. x
I was so excited to receive my Explore 3, as I use it for my business and it was advertised as being even faster than the Explore 2. I cannot tell you how disappointed I am in this product, and the misleading features of it. I knew that it would be faster if using the new Cricut materials, I had no idea, nor did it state, that the machine is actually SLOWER than the Explore 2, when using your own materials. Not only is it SLOWER, it has to \"measure\" your mat each and every time you cut, which takes even more time, you also have to click your material selection for each mat before it starts. All in all, I feel duped and mislead. This slows down my production time by A LOT. I will not be using Cricut materials, as they are pricey and I buy my materials in bulk from ... MoreI was so excited to receive my Explore 3, as I use it for my business and it was advertised as being even faster than the Explore 2. I have wanted a Cricut for ages and finally but the bullet and bought the Explore 3 last week. We have to pay to have work t shirts printed and vinyl signs printed but not anymore! The young lady at Hobbycraft was lovely, we were on our way to buy a machine at another store but thought would pop into Hobbycraft on the way to check out their pricing. The staff were very knowledgeable and friendly and showed us all the machines available and their features etc. She was genuinely interested and made us feel comfortable. We left to go to the other store and spoke to the man in there who obviously didn’t have a clue, he didn’t even know what the machines did! I have printed a few new work t shirts and loads of signs! Looking at making Christmas presents now!Love my machine and love Hobbycraft
