I just picked one of these up. I was looking for a low energy consumption cooking device for camping. I purchased a small solar generator/ battery bank. It was the smallest big battery I could find. Max energy pull is like 75 watt. Even though this crockpot is like 50-60, I didn't have high hopes my battery could handle it. I got an extra insert as well. As soon as I got home I plugged it in and tested. It's not going to be the fastest method of cooking but I'm excited to wake up, plug it in, throw in some oatmeal, tend to the fire, take the dog for a walk, and come back to the camp site to a warm breakfast. No more energy bars or dried fruit. Should be excited to come up with new recipes for it. I figured I'll get maybe 3 hours of cooking before I need to charge my ... MoreI just picked one of these up. My husband is in love with this portable lunch crock! He’s a contractor and always has a cold lunch. There’s no microwaves on a job site. But this is a game changer. Being able to put leftovers from dinner in here for lunch and enjoy a warm lunch is great. All he has to do it plug it in 4 hours before he wants to eat and tada a nice hot lunch. His only complaint is it could be a little bigger. His absolute favorite meal to use this is spaghetti. He swears it tastes better in this! I like that it’s super easy to clean and even part of it can be thrown in the dishwasher! This is great for anyone that has power but no microwave. It’s definitely a gamer changer for this house!

I got this in anticipation of my wife being able to use it at work. Sometimes the microwave leaves a lot to be desired when heating or reheating certain foods. After several uses we have come to the following conclusions. First the good: The compact size make for easy travel and storage. The simple attachable lid keeps contents from spilling while traveling. The unit does do a great job of keeping things warm/hot once it get them up to temperture. Cleanup is relatively simple and easy. It will be great to use as a warm dip holder for get togethers. Now the bad: It does take a long time to heat up. That can really be an inconvience if the reson the unit was purchased was for a quick and esay warm up. Overall, it is a great unit, it just requires more preplanning than ... MoreI got this in anticipation of my wife being able to use it at work. I really love this jn the way of performance, it isn't hot at all to the touch on the outside or bottom. It really heats up your food nice and hot and keeps your food hot right down to the last bite or spoonful. I prefer to handwash mine and it cleans up easy for the next use. Being the crock pot brand, it's a real workhorse in lunchwarmer lunchboxes. I wont put my food in the microwave at work since the inside is so gross it looks like a hazmat situation and I just don't want sandwiches every day and now I can have hot meals. The only thing I don't like is the sphinx pink isn't pink at all but more of a brownish taupe color.
Received the (lime green handle) lunch crockpot this year as a Christmas present and was so excited to use it. Worked perfectly when used the first time. However, now the lid for the inner container won't stay sealed. There are multiple complaints on Amazon about this inner lid not staying sealed after the first time heating. Heating instructions says to leave inner lid on while heating and it will pop off during the heating process to prevent steam build up. Just read Amazon reviews which contained a response from a crockpot representative that advised the lid should be removed before heating; this is contrary to the manufacturer's instructions. How can I order a replacement inner lid?
If you’re looking into hot lunch on the go this is perfect! My husband and I get so tired of taking cold items or eating out when working so this was the best little crockpot ever. I can now take soups, leftovers, or whatever my heart desires in this and heat it up for a more at home feel meal. It heats up quickly and warms up the food evenly. It’s the perfect size for travel by hand or can even be fit into a lunchbox. The material is very durable and disables so easily for cleanup afterwards. I find it to be very adorable for such a great way to make your lunch exciting! Love the variety of colors you can find it in also!
The Crockpot Lunch Crock is a time saver. I like how I am able to have my leftovers nice and warmed and cooked evenly when its time to eat. I plug it in when I get to work and let it slowly warm up my food which comes to the best temperature like I just made it from home and warmed evenly. I feel more better using this than a Microwave which this is more healthier way to enjoy your food. I don't feel like I am rushing to eat my food or feels like scraps just to get by for the day. I actually have a ready meal in time and all I need to do is open and enjoy. This is a warmer so food needs to have been cooked at least before. Timing depends on how thick your meal is and when you need it ready by. If a thicker base I would start warming when you get to work depending on ... MoreThe Crockpot Lunch Crock is a time saver. Timing depends on how thick your meal is and when you need it ready by. If a thicker base I would start warming when you get to work depending on also when you will eat. Example: Leftover chilli for me was easy I went in work at 10a.m plugged it in at 10:30a.m and for me it was ready at 2:30pm. Everything tasted just like I had cooked it right then and fresh. This Lunch Crockpot is easy to clean as it is dishwasher safe the Storage Container and inner lid are safe. This crockpot is just right size to take anywhere needed.Cord is easily stored and not bulky fits right back in place and is detachable. This Crock is 20oz 1 person meal warmer. Overall it works wonders for me being able to eat a good meal and have it actually cooked right when I am ready. Going to get another for others in home.
I guess it'd be Crockpot to make a well designed lunch warmer. This fairly evenly heats my food and keeps it hot and not drying up even when left for several hours. The paint on the silver colored plastic (Black Licorice model) started coming off quickly though. Looks kind of cheap now. Oh well.I wish they made a bigger version of this. I got the 32 Oz CrockpotGo but the bottom only heat design is noticeably worse than the Lunch Crock (I returned it). If you don't have very wet food or leave the food for several hours, then the food at the bottom gets dry/burnt. Hopefully Crockpot makes a larger Lunch Crock that keeps the same even heating design since the CrockpotGo is a downgrade in terms of heating.
I am so pleased that I bought this. I wasn't sure how much I'd be using it at work but it's making me bring food from home (soups, stew, chili, spaghetti, etc) rather than spending money on take out! A can of Progresso soup fits nicely in the crock and it takes about an hour give or take, to heat it up for lunch. I leave it under my desk and take the crock home to wash. I don't think I would bring prepared food in the actual crock because the inner lid is a bit iffy. It does not screw on, it just pushes in and I could see how it could come loose and leak. I love this gadget! Now I don't have to wait in line at the microwave to heat my food!My only real complaint (besides the pop in lid) is that I bought the dusty rose colored one and it's more of a tan/dark beige. ... MoreI am so pleased that I bought this. It looks pink on the web page, but it is not.Otherwise, I'd say that if you work somewhere you can plug it in and forget it until lunch, this is definitely a smart buy.
This crockpot is just the cutest little thing ever! I don't have a microwave in my office so I typically bring in lunches like salads or cold cut sandwiches. This has changed up my lunch game since I've had it. I have been making homemade soups and chili's, and each night I fill the inner container and put it in the fridge with the lid on overnight. In the morning, I just grab the container, put it inside the outer heating portion, twist on the outer lid and toss it in my bag. Once at work, I plug it in and by lunch it's completely heated through and ready to eat.The cleanup is easy as the inner container and lid are dishwasher safe. I also really like that the power cord is able to wrap around the base and is held in place. I have also had no issues with leaks ... MoreThis crockpot is just the cutest little thing ever! Keep in mind, this is a food warmer and is not intended to actually cook something like chicken from raw, but it works great for its intended purpose. I look forward to continue using this in the future and plan to purchase as a gift for a family member during the holidays as well.
