This is the best nut grinder. So easy to use, nice size cup and easy clean up. I keep several jars of ground nuts in the freezer and this nut grinder does an excellent job in grinding my brazilian nuts and walnuts without clogging. Don’t overfill the cup with certain nuts that can produce an oily texture - half full or less for best results. Pumpkin seeds are dry and you can put more in the cup to grind. Easy!Best deals for this grinder was at Bed Bath and Beyond and quick delivery.

I went through two of the smaller KRUPS F203 Electric Spice/Coffee Grinders before finding this. I only used them for spices and small seeds. They both worked for about 4 times. The next time I went to use it, nothing. Completely dead! I thought the first one was just defective so I purchased a second one and exactly the same thing happened after 4 uses and I put coffee beans in it! This Cuisinart has been a dream! It's larger, but not too large, has a stronger, though quieter motor than the KRUPS and works 10 times faster and better! It grinds with a breeze and just keeps on going! The large cup to capture is very convenient and works well to use go directly to the pan. I love this grinder!

Chef here, this is the unit most of my friends and competition use in their kitchens. I first heard of this from an Indian restaurateur friend who uses the larger C.A. burr grinder for most of their kitchen needs but said that for most applications this model is the bomb! This is a tried and tru model that has been successfully ground down all of the other competition. The facts only. Just wish I could use the storage cap while grinding - easier when doing multiple back-to-back batches.

In reading the reviews BEFORE I made my purchase I noticed someone had cut themselves on the blades. Are you kidding me?!! I wear a size small for gloves and I can barely get my hands into the grinder. That being said...When this one bites the dust, I will definitely get another one or one like it!! My son and I are having a lot of fun w/ it. 5-spice seasoning is the next project.
The supposedly removable grinding bowl will not budge from the base, and having no instructions for how to remove it doesn’t help. If the bowl can’t be removed, it can’t be cleaned, which means the grinder is useless. The unit also starts grinding as soon as it’s plugged in, even when the lid isn’t in place. So much for the “ safety feature.” Total waste of money.
When doing research, this Cuisinart spice and nut grinder kept rising to the top or near top of reviews, so I purchased it. So far I’m very happy with it. I ground some whole Pemba cloves to a fine grind which I set aside for baking. I buy a lot of whole spices and wanted something that ground spices well, was easy to wash and re-use. Foodniks also suggest grinding a bit of uncooked white rice or a small bit of bread, after grinding a spice, to pick up any flavors and fragrances from the spice. So far I’ve just washed with soap, wipe dry and then let it sit out for awhile before putting back together, Very happy with this grinder. I do have a mortar and pestle that I use a lot, but something’s, like with the cloves…I just want a way to get an even, fine grind ... MoreWhen doing research, this Cuisinart spice and nut grinder kept rising to the top or near top of reviews, so I purchased it. I have destroyed several coffee grinders I used as spice grinders over the years. Cinnamon sticks did in my last 2. I bought this grinder for a couple reasons: 1) I trust the Cuisinart brand and have several Cuisinart products and 2) the video demo specifically showed grinding cinnamon. So, I broke up a stick and ran it as directed. It still seemed slightly grainy (way better than the coffee grinder) so I ran it through again. The majority of it was a fine powder as what would be expected and there was a pinch left that was like fine sand. As far as I'm concerned, this grinder works and will chew through just about anything. Oh, and it's really easy to disassemble and clean. Totally happy with my purchase.
Overall it’s okay. Cleaning is hassle as you can not remove the bowl. The connection is thinner. There is space between the connection and the cup, so the spice usually leaks into the top of the motor and is difficult to clean up. Also the motor is much less efficient. It starts smoking after only 15 seconds, so I have to keep starting and stopping the motor, and the spice doesn't get ground up evenly.
This is an amazing small yet powerful (200W motor) buddy in my kitchen that helps me with routine crushing and grinding of coffee, nuts, spices, and even making chutney. I am so happy to have this product. I bought this during Black Friday 2022 sale so I have used for only a couple of months. I hope it lasts long. I liked this Cuisinart one better because bowl size is bigger and motor is powerful than other branded companies similar product.
Good overall, haven't grinded all types of nuts yet but somewhat satisfied so far.I was looking for a spice grinder that really grinds to a fine powder but I have yet to find one, so not surprised. This one grinds about the same as a $20 one I owned( the blade seized to the plastic part from overheating, so had to throw it out) just with more capacity.I like the removeable bowl and its quieter than my last few so that's a plus.I thought it would have a more powerful motor but seems most that I have used and read about kinda all have the same power motor. The reason for buying this grinder is, it is marketed as a "Spine and nut grinder". It does that but I'm looking to grind spices to a fine powder to get silky smooth sauces and the like. The other reason ... MoreGood overall, haven't grinded all types of nuts yet but somewhat satisfied so far.I was looking for a spice grinder that really grinds to a fine powder but I have yet to find one, so not surprised.
