This I love! I wanted something that would grind up my flaxseeds as I like to eat them daily. This does the PERFECT job with a light touch of the top! They turn out fluffy and ground up really nicely. I think it would do a great job with walnuts too, but almonds....not so much. Maybe because they are such a hard nut. I only used the recommended 1/4 cup, and I did them in short pulses to get a chunky blend. But it pulverized them to dust, and left some of them whole. So to get a pebble like grind with almonds, I don't think so. But it is a dream for flax and I think other things would work perfectly too. Nice little machine- I am very, very pleased with this purchase! :)

Got two uses out of it, ground coffee beans fine one morning and the next it died. Save your money.
I initially had a very tough time twisting the removable bowl off the base, which was the main attraction of this unit, but once I got it off I was very satisfied. It grinds up my flax seeds very quickly and completely. And being able to store the seeds or nuts in the removable bowl and then wash the bowl in the dishwasher makes it much more efficient than the old coffee grinder I was using.
I really like that the grinder parts can go in the dishwasher. That way I’m sure they are clean with minimal danger to myself. This machine produces a nice fine grind for my spices.
I use this article generally to grind the garlic. But the blades spin and the garlic stays on top. I think it only works well to grind something very dry, otherwise the paste stays on top and does not reach the blades.
