Absolutely fantastic!

This machine is amazing and so easy to clean. The kids love it. We get about 6 soft serve waffle cones out of one batch from the recipe in the book. Might look at buying a second bucket down the track.

Awesome

Makes the most amazing soft serve ice cream. The recipe is easy to follow, the ice cream machine is sooooo easy to use, the kids had fun getting the mix-ins and toppings ready. 8 very happy family members who all agreed it was better than Mr Whippy!

Disappointing soft serve

Mixed feelings about this item. There is a very fine line between soft serve and the machine over churning the icecream as it has to keep churning to pour the icecream out this is when it tends to overchurn and thicken the icecream to much. May persevere but probly just another kitchen gadget to fill the cupboard disappointing really but yet to try the frozen yoghurt recipe. Cheaper and easier less mess just to go buy a soft serve at the shop.

Fun but not perfect
16 February 2023

This machine is fun to use and makes great soft serve ice cream. However I was disappointed to discover that the mix-in dispensers do not dispense automatically (I had watched a YouTube video of a similar model that was automatic and assumed that this would be the same). We are in fact yet to find a mix-in other than sprinkles that actually fits through the dispensers, so essentially they are a waste of time. I have also found that quite a bit of ice cream gets stuck in the churner so a fair bit goes to waste. It certainly doesn’t make the claimed number of serves either - at least not in our house! Still, it’s fun for a weekend treat.

Good concept, poor execution.

Poorly thought out, flimsy design that creates waste and is impossible to properly clean. All my attempt so far has yielded ice cream that is too soft or a consistency seems ok but becomes runny before it can be eaten. Only manageable in a bowl, hopeless in a cone. A new, disgusting issue was discovered tonight when I found black mould in the dispenser unit as I was serving the ice cream. I wondered what the black furry stuff was and to my horror found mould all through the mechanism. The dispenser parts are a sealed unit so they are impossible to clean properly and obviously remnants of the mixture remained in the dispenser last time it was used even though I soaked it. I spent about 20 min tonight with a bottle brush, tooth brush and boiling water to try and remove the mould. It is disgusting and I will be returning to the store for a refund.

Great ice cream, but points to consider
7 January 2023

We picked this up as a last-minute fun summer Christmas present for the family; I expected it to be not much more than a gimmicky ice cream dispenser, but: it actually makes REALLY good soft serve. The instructions are clear and the machine is easy to use and clean. I also like that if there's excess soft serve at the end of the session, it can be saved in the freezer as traditional ice cream (which is also pretty good). However, some points to consider - while a simple machine, it is not quick. This is not something you can just whip out of the cupboard and start squirting out treats in 5 mins. Even with the internal cooling part kept in the freezer for 24 hours before hand (!!!), it still takes more than half an hour from start to finish to get ice cream in the ... MoreWe picked this up as a last-minute fun summer Christmas present for the family; I expected it to be not much more than a gimmicky ice cream dispenser, but: it actually makes REALLY good soft serve. It's a fun process, especially if you get the kids involved, but this isn't the ice cream equivalent of a coffee pod machine. Also, the quality of the ice cream is obviously going to rely on the quality of the ingredients being used - cheaper runnier milk/cream/etc will still work but your end result won't be as good. But if you're okay with all those points above, then this is a good fun addition to a kitchen for people who like this sort of gimmicky thing.

Greatest present ever
27 January 2023

I got this from my wife as a gift due to my love of soft serve, It is wonderful makes nice ice cream & frozen yoghurt. It is approx 25 min from start to finish but I no longer need to buy ice cream. Makes plenty we put the extra in the freezer in a container.

Not as good as it looks like

I am disappointed, if you want to make a good icecream you need to have a good freezer Min.-18 degrees. Otherwise, nothing of icecream. My recomendation, buy a little bit expensive icecream maker, all in one

Summer Fun with the soft serve maker

It was purchased as a gift and I believe the receiver is very happy with it. Fun to experiment with different flavours, doesnt take up too much bench space and easy to operate.

This item is easy to use and whips up soft serve ice creams for the whole family in no time! The Soft Serve will make for many fun pool parties at ours this Summer. I liked the nifty dispensers for the toppings and the cone holder placement (everything in one place - well thought through). Now we're just waiting on those sunny days.
