I run primarily in a suburban neighborhood with paved sidewalks but sometimes even the sidewalk can be unpredictable.I truly love this stroller and know we will cover a lot of ground together. I feel like with the handle height my run isn't being interfered with at all. Both I and my husband really enjoy it. Overall, I really suggest the AVI jogger to any running parents. I really like how lightweight this stroller is. The harness is very durable and keeps my son safely locked in. I did enjoy the ease of pushing due to the fully adjustable handle, that being said there are a few areas I didn’t like that were deal breakers for me. For starters the front wheel does not unlock, this may be great for runners who jog a straight path but my neighborhood swoops around a ton and this made it difficult to run freely since I was having to push down on the bar to get the front wheel to go up off the pavement to turn. The handle break to me is in an odd spot and make me out my hands in a weird position so it doesn’t get in the way. The foam padding was nice but quickly became slippery with a little sweat. The bottom sling is big enough to hold what you need for a run, could probably lay hold a purse and small cooler bag if used for an outing. The sunshade is great and has an extendable flap to really keep the sun out and I feel the fabric is much more breathable than most on the market. I can also see my baby more easily with this shade. The harness while easy to buckle and unbuckle is a nightmare to adjust. Literally took me longer to adjust the straps than it did to put together the stroller ( maybe took 8 min total to put together and attach shade, took over 20 min and a lot of swearing to adjust the straps) Honestly dreading when he has a growth spurt and I need to adjust the straps it was that much of a task. Fabric does wipe down easily and it is super easy to jog with when not turning. Outside of the wonky brake placement and straps I do think this is an extra durable and well made jogger that will last several kids. My favorite part of this stroller is the XL sun canopy made of UPF50+ protective fabric because my daughter has very sensitive skin. I also like the mesh window on the canopy because it allows me to check in on her front from time to time. And I love the fact that I can quickly and easily fold the stroller with one hand into a compact size for easy storage. The stroller can easily fit into the trunk of my Tesla model 3. When I hear the brand CYBEX I immediately think luxury. I knew they had many baby items but was surprised to see that they had a jogging stroller. The CYBEX AVI Jogging Stroller is a stunner even before opening. I was impressed with how I could carry the box indicating that the stroller was going to be lightweight. Upon opening I was impressed with how organized and to the point everything was. It took me like 30 to 45 minutes to assemble but in reality it would have taken less if I hadn’t stopped to do other things. The seat is very soft and plump and on its side panels there is more ventilation via a mesh fabric. It has two storage areas the button basket which I found to be very accommodating and easy to get things in and out. There is also one in the back of the seat that has a small storage flap with a small convenient pocket where you can store a small phone or keys. The handle is easy to adjust and it will accommodate anyone’s height and preference when jogging. It has a handle break that was easy to use one handed. It has good suspension and confort for both the little one and user. It is easy to handle when going in straight pathways. Every ride taken was smooth.The biggest down side was that the static front wheel made it a bit difficult to maneuver when having to turn. This makes the stroller not that everyday user friendly. The only way both my husband and I found to turn was simply pushing a bit down in the handle to raise the front wheel and go which ever direction we needed. You can maneuver by adding pressure on the handle to either got left or right. We like to jog in the mountains trails but with the sharp turns, we did not even try to take it because we figure it would be hard to maneuver. Initially it was difficult to adjust the straps for the five point harness and getting the stroller to close. The stroller can close with one hand but I could never get it to close compact. To make it very slim you would have to always take out all wheels.Regardless of these issues my little one really enjoys the rides. I will be using it everyday around our neighborhood. I do wish the front wheel would not be fixed so I could use the stroller for errands and to run into stores as well, but it also makes it a stronger jogging stroller with having the fixed wheel.Overall, this is an amazing jogging stroller for a serious runner, or a runner who is looking to get started and does not want a stroller to a deterrent to their running goals! My little one was still riding pretty smooth over the gravel and bumps. This stroller just glides which is great while running so you’re not feeling like you have to do so much pushing. I do like the hand brake for any downhill and just in general slows for a softer stop. The stroller folds down nice and compact but even more so if you take the wheels off which is necessary to fit in some car trunks. I love how easy the back tires come off just by popping the button on the side. The overall appearance of this stroller is sleek and sporty. The large canopy is great and I absolutely LOVE that there’s a sun visor. I’ve never seen this on a stroller and is typically the struggle trying to get creative with getting sun out of the kids’ eyes. The only thing that was not great for me personally was having to lift the front tire to turn and maneuver side to side while running. Just a minor nuance though. Overall, I really like the simplicity yet high quality construction. The material feels high quality and my daughter seems to enjoy going for a ride all the time. The stroller collapses down easily with the press and pull of a button and it’s pretty light weight. You also get a nice pocket behind the seat and storage basket underneath to carry whatever items you take along which as parents is necessary!
This Cybex AVI jogging stroller works wonderfully as a jogging stroller. It’s lighter weight and more compact than any other jogging stroller I’ve tried (which are notoriously large). The stroller can fold up and rear tires remove easily if you want to run somewhere that you need to use your car to get to. I love how well made the stroller is, the materials and fit and finish seem high-end and like they’ll hold up in the long term!I’ve tried using this with my two year old for jogging around our neighborhood. As a sweaty jogger, I like the coating on handle that doesn’t look gross after getting sweat on.While I would highly recommend this stroller for folks that jog or want to get into jogging, I’d make certain you want a true jogging stroller. It’s not as easy to maneuver/as compact as a standard stroller and doesn’t have the same versatility/ultra compact size. If you are looking for an everyday stroller, there are probably better models to suit you.
