I bought this Lopper and in a few days one of the screws fall off. Thought it was a one off, I returned the product and got a replacement. The same thing happened in less than 3 months. Now I am convinced the issue is with the product. Not going to buy any product from this brand in the future. Bunnings should remove this product as other customers will have the same issue.

Awful quality - broke within the first hour of very light-duty use. Bunnings refunded which was great, but such a hassle that should be required. Cyclone should withdraw this product from sale.

Bought yesterday and tried it before removing product label. The handle bent when trying to cut a 35mm diameter green Lillypilly branch with the telescopic extension. I'm a 67 year old 75kg weakling so very disappointed. This product should only be used for light pruning and is not worth the price. Fortunately Bunnings refund willingly.

The cyclone ratchet lopper is a tough, manageable and effect lopper. The ratchet works brilliantly when cutting thicker branches. A very good quality piece of equipment!
I bought this a couple of months ago to deal with an unwieldy Mock Orange hedge. One of the alloy arms bent on first use and with little use since I’ve noticed the cutters aren’t staying together very well, so in the last millimeters of the cut it twists the material being cut rather than cutting through it… meaning you don’t get a clean cut.I would definitely not recommend this product to anyone.
Hoping that their quality management had improved and almost against my better judgment I bought this item.I've used it twice, each time for less than an hour. The second time I used it I noticed that it was not cutting cleanly, leaving a ragged cut because the two nuts securing the ratchet mechanism had worked loose. To continue using the thing finger tightened the nuts for a quick 10 minute fix.Soon getting sick of this I used a spanner to tighten the tighten the nuts down and what do you know, the result that I thought would suffice wouldn't enable me to open an close it.So now I'm unhappy customer because I'll have to carry a spanner round with me next time I lop the garden. Thanks Bunnings.
I took on a massive garden cleanup in Perth after becoming tired of tenant neglect and costs over some years. I fought the War on Bougainvillea on three fronts with this weapon, in between building renovations to vary the work and stop bleeding. The enemy were 8m, 6m and 4m massively thorny horrors, entwined through trees & palms which also had to come down to controllable levels.I found cutting through anything over 30mm a problem and in fact the screw in the ratchet arm detached and flew way in protest under pressure about half-way through Battle#1. Bunnings replaced the lopper though so keep an eye on yours and keep that small screw tight to avoid similar and it should last for years of more normal use. I think this limitation acceptable and yes, I will ... MoreI took on a massive garden cleanup in Perth after becoming tired of tenant neglect and costs over some years. I think this limitation acceptable and yes, I will recommend you buy.Using the lopper for hand-to-hand skirmishes and a very good Ryobi (Bunnings) pole saw for remote and airborne (ladder) attacks, I’m glad to report the war won, the enemy vanquished and shredded at the Tip via 9 packed trailer loads. I’m not ashamed to admit chemical annihilation of the entrenched remains with concentrated ‘Roundup’.
Bought this about 3 months ago and was used occasionally for a few minutes at a time. Would have done no more than 30 cuts in total. The ratchet worked well initially which was great feature. However, recently it became more problematic and then upon my surprise, it fell apart. Oh joy!
This item is a great item, however this is the third one I have bought. The screw and nut in the ratchet mechanism has a tendency to fall out after a fair period of time. Can fix yourself, although Cyclone and Bunnings can't assist with the supply of a replacement pin. So great tool, if only using occasionally, no prop, but if it is a tool you regularly use, will only last 6 months to a year.
I’m rating this item 2 out of 5, and I think I’m being generous at that.I’m really disappointed with the item I purchased, and I’m not about to recommend to anyone that they buy one. It certainly does not represent value for money, and I have found that cheaper alternate items have left me feeling far less frustrated when using them.I might just comment also that in relation to the item’s quality... it didn’t even get through the first day’s use before I found it necessary to go searching for a replacement nut and bolt after the original ones fell out and were lost.I do give this warning, in case you do decide to buy one of these items... the cutting blade is very sharp. Don’t do as I did and check the sharpness with a gloveless thumb. Don’t do as I did and check the sharpness with a gloveless thumb. The blade does not need to be christened with your blood. The most annoying thing about using the item I purchased is that the ratchet system is very unreliable; and it gets very frustrating when cutting through a branch it gets to the smallest amount of wood left to be cut, and no amount of effort will cut through it.I don’t normally like to be swearing and cursing... but I’m glad nobody is within earshot of me when I’m using the item.I have been tempted to return the item to Bunnings for a refund, but it would cost me more in fuel than what the item is worth.I am annoyed at Bunnings for selling me this item... and they should be ashamed of themselves if they bother to read the Reviews the item receives, and don’t remove the item from sale.
