Disappointed in size of plugs. Advertised as mini and can fit into double point without impacting use of plug next to it. The plug is actually giant and monopolises the whole double PowerPoint. Most misleading and disappointing as I bought this specific one based on the advertised SMALL as in MINI size.

D-Link DSP-W118 Mini Wi-Fi Smart Plug Scheduling

Bought one of these plugs for the scheduling function, but could not make it work properly. The setup is confusing and complicated , but once setup the plug did not work as advertised. After a dozen emails to D_Link I have given up. Would not recommend this plug to anyone. Have since bought a different brand plug and its day & night difference.

Does the job well

I now have six of these in use at home and they do the job very well. I like the timer function and the way the app tells me when they are off line because of a power issue. The device also integrates with Google Assistant very well. I would have given five stars except for the fact that their size means that they take up too much space in wall outlets and powerboards.

Don't work

Attempted to connect 2 of the D-Link mini wifi smart plugs with the guided app but unable to connect. Contacted techunion but they informed me to contact D-Link to rectify, still waiting for a reply from D-Link....only been waiting 5 days so far......

Easy to set up, works without fail.

I love this! These are so easy to use and set up. The app that comes with it allows you to set up your appliances and control them with the touch of the app. Super user friendly. And it's complemented my home set up.

Easy, and fast.

Very simple set up and working flawlessly so far. Lag time between clicking button on phone and switch is very short, well less than a second. Hasn't missed a beat yet. Unfortunately the plug is too large to get it into a standard socket with another larger plug like my cell phone charger. Definitely won't get two of these side by side in a traditional socket.

Great value and super easy to set up

Bought it on special. It’s compact, does what it says, very easy to set up. The app has an elegant simple interface. The price is beyond good. Very happy for the purchase.

Integrates well with Google's Assistant. The associated D-Link App needs work

I cannot compare to TP-Link or others. Integrates well with Google's Assistant, but the associated D-Link App needs work - the app is slow and lacks options I would like (such as 1. an auto off after a set period of time 2. faster loading of the app, so I can switch things on and off more quickly 3. a quick access button, so it is not necessary to enter the app to switch something on.)

Surprisingly this was really easy to setup and easy to use. The app is useful and tells you when the plug is offline, even when you are nowhere near it, which is good.

Works fine but needed an update

It took a while before the dlink app was able to find it and even more before the plug connected to my wifi (had to try it a few times). Eventualy it worked and once that was done it instantly saw it needed an update. This took a long time to complete (1 hour or so), but after that the connection was fine, the update fixed it. Google home found my plug after i linked my dlink account to google home, the instructions were a bit minimal on that process. All in all happy with my purchase
