So far quite a good combo. Haven't got to catch big fish yet. 1.9kilo flatty was breez with the rod. Long holding grip makes it comfortable.
Great combo. Well balanced and great for the jetty. Coming pre-spooled is a bonus.
First trip out fought a 1.5m gummy shark with the 561 model, no worries. Impressive rod for the price and perfect boat rod for bigger fish. Cheap quality combo
Very disappointed with the quality of the line that was attached to the reel. It snapped in my hands when I was tying on a lure. I discarded about two meters of line and attached a lure that was lost as I was trolling as the line broke again. I troll with a kayak so I was not travelling to fast.
We bought the rod and reel combo's specifically for a fun trip we had planned.They were easy to set up and my son had a fish on before I had my line in the water...Naturally I caught up quickly, but actually the rods were pretty responsive, and the reels were very smooth and reliable. I was worried they wouldn't be that good, but they absolutely did the job. A great starter combo for estuary fishing.
4000 reel was a bit overkill and switched to a 1000 sienna and put on 10lb braid. The rod is delightfully flicky so it absorbs herring's antics so you don't lose as many.I've been fishing this rod (not my only rod) for about 6 months now, and caught buckets of fish on her.Super flicky and haven't had any issues - in my opinion though, it doesn't need a 4000 reel on it.
The Rod "Daiwa Blast Spinning combo" is a very light and durable rod in my opinion. The rod is best used when catching a 48KG king blowfish. Evidence of me using the rod is when I caught a million dollar king blowfish. I highly recommended buying this rod.
