I've been using Daiwa x8 braid exclusively on my setups for the past 6 years, and there hasn't been a batch that was bad or failed unexpectedly. Great quality, smooth, ties well, and great price. The color does fade/bleed some, but that's to be expected from all brands of braid.

I have tried various brands of braid and find this the best that's available at a sensible price. If you use a reel that lays the line nicely, and manage your line well you won't get wind knots. Lasts well, two or three seasons if taken off spool and reversed. The 500m spool gives me four refills, so isn't really expensive.

The 8 strand J braid has been my “Go to” spinning line braid since I first discovered it. I have it on light to medium sized spinning reels that I mostly use for surf fishing in 20-50lb. I almost never have problems with wind knots using J Braid as I have with some other popular lines. I used the med spinner with 50lb recently and fished jigs in 50’-100’ depths. No issues at all with the line while jigging. The color coating has faded some on my older line, on one reel I just removed all of the line and then reversed it and rewound it onto the reel. Looks and performs like brand new line again. I will do the same as conditions warrant with my other lines when necessary.

Bought this in 15# Green for my UL set up & I really like it. I usually get the Sufix 832 but thought I'd try this out. Haven't had many wind knots, casts like a dream - and I am casting 1/100th & 1/80th oz jig heads with miso baits and it flies!
Been running this on my river rods for 2 months. 40 lb hi-vis green. No problems so far and the price is right. My rig is.. 40 lb braid to a swivel,,,then a 30 lb mono leader on the business end using uni-snells and single uni-knots. Every time I've gotten snagged and had to really "power it out" the mono leader is what gives and I've gotten my swivel and sinker back while only losing the hook. This braid hasn't failed me yet with a single uni-knot.
J Braid Grand in my opinion is the best line on the market.. Casts long, has a coating that keeps it slick and is truly abrasion resistant. I have used Power pro since it came out .. and have realized after using it for several months that this is a superior line for casting strength and abrasion. I got no break offs like power pro that wears at the hook knot. Discount tackle has the best selection and price of anyone online. So I converted all my fresh and saltwater reels over. I have tried several other lines but kept going back to power pro until now.
First time purchase of this braid saw it is a Diawa product and had to buy it always high quality Very satisfied all around 5 stars. Used and reviewed similar braids definitely made the rightchoice. Can't wait to do it again
Great line, IMO. I have the 80 lb. on a 200 series bait cast reel. I've only used it once, but it handled two king salmon in a very fast Alaskan river. The diameter is thinner than other brands, allowing me to get 25-30 more yards on the spool. And for the most part it's reasonably priced when compared to other high profile brands.
Discount Tackle offers this great line at a great price. I use the bright green with a fluorocarbon leader for finesse. So far no fading and no bleedingStuff is limp and castable, no wind knots. I would recommend this line and I don’t see myself using anything else.
J-Braid x8 is easy to spool and tie. An Albright knot works great to join to mono. Or a bubble Uni is good also . Great value for the price. Make sure you get the right one , Saltwater or Freshwater....
