Introducing the J-Braid Expedition Braided Line from Daiwa, the next generation in the J-Braid line-up. Now made with upgraded IZANAS fibres in Japan, J-Braid Expedition is stronger and smoother than ever before. The 8 strands feature an incredibly tight weave for knot strength, and the silicone coating prevents any water absorbency. Casting with this braid is an absolute dream, and the sensitivity when working lures and detecting bites has never been better. A consistent braid thickness also eliminates weak spots so you can push this line to its limits. Available in orange and metered multi colour variations, this line is a cracker for almost any Aussie fishing application!

Love the casting distance and thin diameter, but being thinner it definitely is prone to cutting on sharp structure in the lower pound lines.

Great braid for casting and landing fish on but as soon as it touches structure it becomes very frail and snaps clean. I recommend this braid for casting and landing fish on but not for structure ridden areas that’s the only negative i have about this braid.

I have used J Braid in different line classes (pounds) on various rod/reel setups so i know and trust this product to perform when needed. Looking forward to trying the expedition series on a savage gear setup 👍

This braid is strong and the hydrophobic properties means that it will last longer than others. Being orange also helps making it more visible to the fisherman.
Casts very well, smooth and soft and does not absorb water. The best braid I’ve used for spinning metals for Australian Salmon and Yellowtail Kingfish
Casts like a bullet and super smooth but all downhill from there! Doesn’t handle touching structure at all. Becomes brittle and will snap seemingly under no real pressure. The braid to use if you’re fishing in your backyard pool.
Don’t worry about the two bad reviews. This stuff is STRONG despite it being so thin. Its much harder to cut than other cheaper braids. I have this on my UL setups and it casts light jigs so much further. Absolutely no memory and is coated well so it doesn’t absorb water. If you’re using on baitcaster, be sure not to over spool as its thinner than other braids.
This new braid is awesome. The silicone coating allows for long casting as it is so smooth going through the guides. Strength is awesome and I feel like you can really rely on it.
Worse braid I've ever used too thin tangles so severely it's not anywhere near as good as the original jbraid x8 a step backwards for Daiwa big thumbs down it even broke when the line was being spooled at BCF Auburn I would like a call from BCF and line replaced free of charge with the normal daiwa jbraid x8 very disappointed
