Bought it to go in my Dusk til Dawn 1100 swag. Plenty of room, keeps me toasty warm. I half unzip it on both sides and use it as a half quilt with a pocket for my feet. Recently slept in the swag with it down to -3 degrees on a cold rainy desert night…slept in just undies and a T-shirt and wasn’t cold at all. Will turn it inside out and sleep on it in summer with just a sheet over me - it’ll be too warm for summer. The lining is super soft, very comfortable to sleep in. Probably not big enough for 2 adults, I just use it for myself as I’m a large rig 6ft4 150kgs. I have buckets of room in it. Packs down fairly small in the compression bag too. Quality piece of kit as to be expected from Darche.

We purchased the bags for a July Simpson Desert trip so we wanted something with a decent rating. Our local store had no stock over the smaller size, so we purchased sight unseen. The bag is well made, everything works smoothly. However the bags are very long, if you are not 180++cm you'll have a large dead space at the bottom, meaning cold feet unless you stuff something into it. They are also very very bulky which made packing it into a vehicle carrying the necessities for remote travel difficult. We have only previously had - 5 deg bags and didn't appreciate how much bulkier -12 bags would be. For the right person I'm sure they are a great bag. Carried layed out on the bed of a camper trailer the bulk wouldn't be an issue. My wife and I each used the 1400w in a cross Australia camping trip.Handled temps as low as minus 3 degrees C with ease. The size of these bags are awesome if your a big build and like a bit of room to move and spread your arms.(I'm 6ft2' 165kgs)The only downfall are the zippers - bag has to be perfectly aligned or zips will catch and generally be a pain in the butt. A new design zipper and these would be 5 star rating instead of the 4 star I gave them

Good quality manufacturing, however it does not perform as described. Recently swag camping with my wife at around 2-3c and it was on the limit of comfortable temperature. I like tarp camping mostly and these bags would struggle, comming into winter I will have to take an additional sleeping bag, which I was trying to avoid by buying these bags. I have used real down bags and this is my first hollow fibre and it just doesn't compare.
Purchased this thinking we could fit two people, however it is too snug for us despite us being quite small. The size is listed as 1400 wide but it is more like 1200. We found it an odd size; too small for two people but way too big for one. Instead we swapped for two Darche 900 single sleeping bags and zipped them together. Much better and only $5 difference. Still, the 900 sleeping bags only measured to be about 800 wide, so we ended up with about 1600 width however it’s now a perfect size for us so I can’t complain!
I bought mine in 2017; the new colours are better. I needed a large bag as I’m a side sleeper who can’t handle having my arms pinned by a traditional bag, and I camp in cold weather. I’ve slept in this bag in temperatures down to about 2 degrees. I sleep cold and there was a steep learning curve to keep myself warm despite the theoretical -12 rating. I need thermals, a sleeping bag liner, a blanket over the top, and a beanie to be warm in this bag. I also use the drawstrings around the neck and hood. So it has not kept me as warm as I expected. I would guess part of that is because there is a lot of room inside the bag so it takes your body a lot longer to warm it up. The good news is that now I have my routine sorted I am reliably warm with lots of space. My 2017 ... MoreI bought mine in 2017; the new colours are better. The good news is that now I have my routine sorted I am reliably warm with lots of space. My 2017 bag unzips into two separate pieces. I couldn’t tell from the product description if this 2021 model does that. This has been very valuable as when my kid has been cold I can give him half my bag for extra warmth and still have enough to wrap myself in. I also use one half as a (large) lap rug for sitting outside. And in summer using half as a doona is very comfortable. The only bad thing about this bag is that I have had trouble fitting it back into the stuff sack, and that it’s very large.
I have used this bag over 10 nights in the national parks in the snowy mountains in my 23zero outbreak swag, share it with my partner which fits us fine as she's smaller and I'm a touch above average. I can basically sleep in a shirt and undies in this thing in -6 to -7 conditions on one night and still be a little too hot but I sleep warm. I love it but I may add another single on the side for a little more room.
I’m a side sleeper who tosses all night & need my arms & legs stretched out. Have had this bag for at least three years, camped down to 1°. Because it’s so large you need to add layers inside at cold temperatures. I sleep on an insulated mat 9.5R, & I wear layers to bed in cold weather. There are lots of options for drawstrings to keep warmth in, however I prefer to put on a beanie first before messing around with draw strings. I also keep a blanket handy in case I get cold. Love it, never worry I’m going to be cold overnight & have a lot of room to be comfortable. In temperatures around 5° am usually too warm while others complain. Keen to test it out in negative temperatures one day. PS I store it loose while at home to preserve loft, and it’s a pain to get back ... MoreI’m a side sleeper who tosses all night & need my arms & legs stretched out. Camping is usually a bit 'iffy' for me. The space and comfort in this sleeping bag was next level. I was probably cold for the first 20 minutes, as I am usually cold a lot, but after that I was warm and snug the whole night. You won't regret this purchase!
I cannot review this item as it was bought as a present and hasn’t yet been used. However, I can give 5stars to Snowys for their excellent and efficient service. It can be very difficult ordering items in Oz from the UK but found the Snowys website very easy to use. Thanks
