the initial 30 minutes of this fragrance is a heavy one, it has a strong scent at first but gradually fades over a few hours. it's not anything special or different and just smells earthy and woody with a load of that deep musky undertone that you find in mens' perfumes. but this is different for Davidoff, as most of their fragrances are based around water, Horizon is more based around earthy tones.even though you get 125ml in the bottle, I still think this is rather expensive to say you can find a designer brand perfume for a similar price, like Armani or Gucci.

My personal favourite after shave for men is Davidoff's Cool Water and has been for many years so I was excited to try Horizon. Firstly for me, it doesn't really come close to Cool Water in the comparison but that said, Horizon is quite a different scent anyhow. In my opinion, I'd say it's more suited for a mature audience and young professionals. I don't anticipate smelling this fragrance at an under 18's disco any time soon!I found it not too overpowering and a small amount seems to last around 4 to 5 hours which isn't as long as others I've used in the past but also isn't the worst. I have found colognes by Davidoff to be a good fit for me. Not overpowering but yet carries the aroma for several hours. I also use Cool Water and have found it to be the same. Two distinct smells and they both compliment my personal body chemistry.
This is a very masculine scent with hints of what I would describe as cigar smoke. Normally, I wouldn't like that odor, but I do smell undertones in this super masculine scent, and I love the "earthiness" of this cologne. It's a nice contrast to the "clean" smelling colognes my husband normally wears. This is his second bottle of Horizon and I plan to keep buying it!
My husband loves this fragrance and the 40ml bottle is great size for travel. Pleased with the price so ordered 2 bottles. Prompt delivery.
This is a stunning new fragrance. The ginger and rosemary on first spritz is quite warming and I detect a citrusy note that makes it fresh too. The woodsy notes after around 10 minutes are very nice. I can clearly smell cedar and vetiver.I have had very nice comments on wearing this fragrance.Lasts quite a while on my skin and I'm getting wafts all day long after 4 sprays. I'm very happy with Horizon. A good solid 8/10
I have always loved anything Davidoff releases. I have most of their fragrances, so I feel I can give an honest review. I guess I was expecting more... it's an OK fragrance and a long laster, but to my senses it's a bit of a soapy smell I guess. Same thing happened for me with Burberry 'Touch', kind of smells a bit like a laundry/clean linen. Would I buy this again??... probably not. 3.5 stars
The perfect Spring/Summer fragrance for daytime and work.It had light, subtle notes of salt, lemon and something warm like coriander seed. It is a gentle yet masculine fragrance, without the feminine sweetness of some mens products.The packaging would also make this a great gift for a guy with style. The clear lid lifts of to reveal a lock that prevents accidental spraying in, say, a sports bag at the gym.
